Just saw the movie! What can I say? Visually it's absolutely gorgeous, WOW!! The movie offers a hefty dosage of eye candy for the audience all they get. The technology in the movie is so advanced and sophisticated but yet the cars are so 50's The movie isn't a true sequel to the original movie, rather Innocence than Ghost in the Shell 2 as titled in the west. The movie is super complex due to its depth! The theme is about the human beings and the cyborgs and the difference between them. The director was clever adding the quotes from the renowned writers and their wisdom words. I didn't understand everything due to the complex and story's depth I assume I understood "the main part" and partly because of the-techno-mumbo-jumbo-terms used in the movie which was way beyond my comprehension. The good thing is it leaves us many unanswared questions as we try debate about the subject in the future of robotechnology.
There are many "off topic" scenes but shows the power of the technology implemented in the movie! The dog is very cute and lovely The music is haunting, not as haunting as the original. There is a little surprise near the end The movie's cost effiency is out of this planet! With a mere $17M budget, the production achieved possibly the most beautiful animated movie in visual. I wonder if the US movie companies can achieve the same level with that budget? I know the wage and cost difference issue but still. Just my 3 cents.
I can't say my final verdict yet, I'm still recoverin from the confusion and eye candy the movie gave me.

Me too.
I watched the first few episodes to see what everyone was talking about, but I couldn't get into it. His name is funny, since Naruto are the spiral decorated fishcakes you find in Ramen. I guess that's why that character likes Ramen.
But all the silly fighting and mudras (those hand gestures) turned me off. Eh. I generally don't like animes that are constant fighting, unless it's done well, like Shura no Toki or it's funny like One Piece.

Hmm my dictionary says kamaboko is fishpaste.
The fishcake with a spiral on it is naruto.

Mr.ChoyBoi wrote: | I've read all the spoilers tho but I just wanted to finish up the series? Is Destiny a stand alone story? or does it require you to have watched the entire Seed series? |
likely i am the wrong person to answer, seeing that until now i have not got around to watch GS but there is a recap of the ending at the beginning of the first episode of GS Destiny
i do not think it is a stand alone story, more like a continuation.....correct me if i am wrong
