I guess it depends on the severity/concentration of the floaters... Sweat

I remember having those since I was in grade school. I just thought they were cool and wasn't bothered by it. Mr Green

Did you see the pic of the floaters in the link you posted? I remember thinking they looked cool when I saw them in my own eyes.

Who here actually wears glasses/contacts?

I wear both. Usually glasses, because then I don't have to fuss about makeup. Beaten

I wear contacts from the time I get up to the time I hit the sack... About 16-18 hours a day.

I just have a pair of regular glasses as spares, just in case I have a problem with my contacts.

I wear gas-permeable contact lenses during the day at work, and use my eyeglasses at night and on the weekends.

My eyesight is pretty bad. Sweat

Ive had 20/40 vision since High School so I need to wear glasses to read small subtitles at a distance. THe whole idea of sticking contacts in my eyes freaks me out. Shocked
The rest of the time I dont need them even for driving though if Im driving somewhere strange at night I need them for the street signs. Victory! Peace!
I's glad I dont need them for reading. Seems most of my peers do. Beaten

Evie, if you had to wear glasses with lenses the size of Coke bottle bottoms, you'd understand the motivation... Sweat

And contacts also help keep your eyes from getting worse. Victory! Peace!

That's only hard contacts though, right? I have soft contacts and my eyes are still getting worse Oh Crap

Really?

I've worn softs for a long time now and my prescription has been practically unchanged for the past 15-20 years... Guess it varies with the individual. Sweat

Point taken. Im still in the same script I had a as teen. Just makes things have a slightly sharper edge in the distance.
I still do fine needlepoint without glasses. Victory! Peace!

Seriously, with all the staring at computer screens and hand held electronic devices that we do I'm amazed that there are still people that don't need glasses. Beaten

I think if you take care of your eyes then soft contacts will help a little, but for people like me who strain their eyes a lot, hard contacts help to retain the shape of the eye so your sight doesn't worsen. In my case, I have gas-permeable, which are supposed to help improve eyesight slowly correcting the shape of the eye.
