Now I'm watching "Summer Snow" and I would like to know if someone knows the places in which dorama appeared (the house, the streets and the beach where the starrings go to dive).

My guess is it takes place near Kanto region, in Kanagawa prefecture. A small town on the outskirt of Tokyo? Narita Airport scene at the end 10th ep, took time at afternoon or morning (dun remember exatly), they didn't travel far from the town they reside to the Airport.
As for the sea where they dive? hmm....*gotta take a peek at a map of Japan* Chiba area or Izu (to the south from Yokohama). They can't drive too far for divin in the sea, right?
As for the houses and streets, it's definitely a town, you don't see skyscrapers nor huge streets/roads (part of the sign to meet city criteria in Japan), only narrow walkways and bulding corners. No subway system. You see 2-storey houses and multi storey flats. Towns usually have more greenery areas than cities. there is vegation zone. A town where ppl know and meet each other daily.
The beach? Ryoko takes a non local train to the area where the beach lies nearby. hmm... Izu (Hanto) is famous for its beaches!
Wish I had remembered more...it's been times since I watched Summer Snow *sighs*

Thank you very much for answering my post.
I think, the only and the best way to know which is the city is to look for some sign in the dorama, such a bus sign, sign in some wall in the street.
Pay attention that Yuki take the bus to the airport, and there wouldn't be a lot of buses that goes to Narita.

How many people in this forum had seen this fantastic dorama?. When the two times I've been in Japan, when I arrived at ryokan, I always switch on the tv to see some doramas ^^!.
Summer Snow is my favourite. It has cold and crasy moments, but It has also funny moments.
Yesterday I was seeing the 6th chapter, and something happened with the starring that enjoyed me a lot. He was sleeping and when Hirosue came to the house, he wake up. His hair were horrible, and he tried to put correctly. The next scene he appeared well-haired ^^!.

| How many peoples were depressed by the conclusion of Summer Snow ?and if you could have an alternate ending to the one you saw, what would it be like, how would u write the ending. Would it be a happier conclusion? Its funny i thought the ending to Summer Snow would be similar to the closing credit where they were all including Natsuo at the beach running and laughing, having a great time. That might have been a more fullfilling ending........... |

:: SPOILER ALERT ::
when i saw the ending.. i was totally shocked.. i'm not used to j doramas ending this way i gues.. so at the scene when yuki went to the bike shop and was told that he died.. i just started crying.. even more harder when i realised natsuo's heart had been given to her... but the ending is what made summer snow so memorable to me i guess.. i don't treat it as any normal dorama right..? although i wish that the ending could have been a happy one.. after watching the sad ending i don't feel angry or anything..

Howdy doody!
I downloaded summer snow a while back, and burned it onto VCD.
Now I keep them in little cases, but where can i download the covers to the VCD?
I know they have thumbnails of it here on jdorama.com but i can't seem to find covers anywhere else. I might also put them all in a big box and just put one cover on that... |

| Dont know where you can find the cover but why not capture a certain screenshot and use that? Like the part were they are all standing and looking at the ocean. |

| I burned summer snow into dvd and also had a hard time finding cd cover but i just used Ryoko pic , go into Photoshop and add text. |

Only problem is, DivX player doesn't let me take screenshots, and i dunno if Windows Media Player plays it on my computer?

| Use a player called BS player, search for it on google or something. It allows you to capture frames if you just right click the mouse on the screen. |

There is something about the end of Summer Snow that I cannot understand. Why Yuki said that she has the heart of Natsuo?. After the heart surgery, Natsuo was with Yuki, so, he cannot bring his heart. It's quite strange.
I hope finally Natsuo had an accident with a bicycle in the street, and Yuki think that Natsuo will be with she forverer in her heart.....
Can anybody tell me please m(_ _)m.
