Battle of the boobs Naughty

Inter-channel rivalry over new TV shows at noon has taken a new twist due to the assets of two of the reporters.

Eri Furuse, whose 95-centimeter bust has earned her the nickname "suikappu" (an allusion to her "suika" or water melon-sized bust), is on "Special Data tottemo Insight" on TBS at noon, while at the same time, Waka Inoue is bouncing her 90-cm bust each Wednesday on Fuji TV's "Waratte Iitomo."

Furuse reports on new products and news in the segment "Kyo Hatsu" (Today's Release). Apparently, TBS is hoping she can lift audience ratings. However, it is a big gamble. The network has changed the format of its noon show 17 times since 1987, and the time frame is referred to as the Black Zone. Video Research reports that audience ratings for Wednesday Sept 15 were 9.3% at Fuji TV and 2.1% at TBS.

A public relations spokesperson for TBS said: "Furuse isn't the main anchorwoman, but the media have been reporting that the 'suikappu' will be on, so it's good PR, at least."

Meanwhile, Inoue has her own nickname — "Wakapai" (derived from her first name and "oppai" or boobs). Despite the seasonal reshuffle of personalities on "Waratte Iitomo," Inoue survived and will be given more to do.

"We are thinking of a quiz corner for her," said the show's producer. "One director told me that she is a perfect host. She is good at leading the show, and very talkative. We are glad to hear those kinds of comments."

Show-biz reporter Kouzou Inoue predicts, "Waka Inoue is pretty popular among women as well as men, so she is good for daytime TV. Furuse is targeting businessmen, so she needs to act more like an anchorwoman instead of a 'suikkapu' idol,' although I don't think she is capable of reversing the audience rating." Hell, I'd watch the news more often if there were more beautiful women reporting. I mean, who wants to see old guys argue about politics and what not. No offense to people who would rather have that though. Beaten

And on nicknames, you'd think that they'd give Inoue Waka another nickname alluding to her enormous lips and not her bust size. But I gotta admit, the "suikappu" nickname is genius (you can't really tell from the pic though). rofl

Oh yeah, I know what you're talking about. It's an internet-based news "show" called the Naked News. I remember someone sending me the link a few years back. I was like, "WTF has the world come to?" Beaten

Thanks, Elt. Looks like the warm salt water is helping: my throat's not throbbing today...

I think this seasonal weather change plays havoc with people's repiratory systems... This usually happens to me at this time of year and at the beggining when winter shifts to spring... Good thing I don't live back east or I'd be really screwed up... bleh
