Guess they deliberately left it open-ended. I'm kinna half-hearted what to make of the ending too.
I thought he die... cos if not, the girl shouldn't be alone in the left scene right?
But... if you notice... this drama is filmed in a flashback format from him relating the incidents. So, if he die... the last scene shouldn't be in the drama at all.. |

| The ending of the show is kind of confusing to me. Just want to ask, did koga die or what? |

Just finished watching the first episode, it brings back memories from the first one.
Same school, same music, same English teacher
You have to watch the first one to fully enjoy this series |

I'm talking about the original one
http://www.jdorama.com/drama_229.htm
from 1993, 10 years ago
You can see the english teacher talking about how the new teacher reminds him of a Biology teacher (the one from 1993) |

I think you can enjoy the 2003 version without seeing the original drama series or the movie. The 2003 version takes place ten years later but it is not a sequel.
I have not seen the new one but I watched the original series and the movie. It's very dark and the theme song really made things creepy for the old series.
[excerpt from interview with writer, Shinji Nomiya]: "This great plot came into my head," Nojima said during a recent interview, "and it really worked great with a student-teacher situation. It didn't have to be a high school teacher, but when I thought up that plot, I got the urge to try to outdo the job I did 10 years ago.
"Ten years ago, I wrote using the left side of my brain, very logically, moving the characters around frame by frame," Nojima said. "Two years ago, I was writing with the right side of my brain, intuitively. I thought it was about time to put the two of them together. I think this is the best work I've ever done." |

Hey, this is the translator for koukou kyoushi 2003.
Just wanted to say that there is absolutely no need to watch the first one to enjoy this one. I think having seen the first one you get a bit more insight into Fujimura's (the English teacher) character. The story, however, is really centred around two completely new characters - Hina (Ueto Aya) and Koga-sensei (Fujiki Naohito). Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the series.
