Toshi-kun, where did you get this photo from? Who is the photographer? I'm curious because I want to share this pic with a student for her IWB, but I need info to guide her to the artist/photographer. _________________

Sorry kid. I don't know. I deleted the original file a while back and I didn't bookmark the site where I found it.

Okay I did a quick search...the model's name is Liu Jianan...I couldn't find the name of the photographer but I found a blog spot with a series of photos (the above included) but unfortunately it's in Japanese...perhaps if you can find someone who reads Japanese well you might be able to find the name of the photographer, if it's written somewhere in the post.

Oh good. My mistake. I thought that was the model's name.
Easy mistake to make Especially if you can't read Japanese fluently. Not that I can, but I thought that model was cute and Googled the name Liu Jianan just to see what came up

I had to throw up a couple of key words describing the photo on Google Images and luckily I came back with a few hits which lead me to that name. Sherlock Holmes would have been proud, my dear Watson.

It was a really captivating picture.
Totally. I don't have the same sense of discernment or discrimination as you having not been in the business but even as a layperson I found the photo really beautiful. The photog is talented. If he keeps snapping Black and Whites like that...he might be the Ansel Adams of Asia.
