Of all the things...to attack a ballplayer over spam...gimme a fuggin' break.
Yeah, pretty idiotic... I'm surprised they don't call for an entire boycott of travel to Hawaii (which I don't think the native Hawaiians would complain too much about... )

Next thing they will boycott Spam Musubi because it is wrapped in seaweed....
"How dare you kill the weed of the sea"
"It is an affront to all things sacred"
"We have water for Michael Phelps, but we readily kill all the kelp."

With the Hawaii tourist industry being in such bad shape and people losing their jobs (or hours) left and right, from the hotels to the car rentals, I think that they'd welcome tourists with open arms instead of complain.
On topic: We had some homemade sushi last night. With SPAM as one of the ingredients. I probably would've eaten a SPAM sushi only if I loaded on the natto and other stuff to disguise the taste. I'll try posting pics later on if anyone's interested. _________________

Haha, but we had a bunch of weird stuff to put in the "sushi": alfalfa sprouts, imitation crab with wasabi and mayonnaise, and some other stuff. Me, I just put a piece of ahi and natto and maybe that imitation crab mixture. Oh and maybe some teriyaki chicken. Btw, it's the maki sushi type, not the other one where you plop stuff on the top. _________________
Pa. man chews through belly-busting, 15-lb. burger
CLEARFIELD, Pa. - It took Brad Sciullo 4 hours and 39 minutes to finish a marathon. A meat marathon, that is. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound western Pennsylvania chef is the first person to eat a monstrosity called the Beer Barrel Belly Bruiser: a 15-pound burger with toppings and a bun that brought the total weight to 20.2 pounds.
The mountain of beef is the product of Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, about 100 miles northeast of Pittsburgh in Clearfield.
Sciullo, 21, of Uniontown, said he was surprised he finished the sandwich Monday. "About three hours into it, things got tough," he said.
When asked what possessed him to eat a burger that big, Sciullo said: "I wanted to see if I could."
The burger included a bun, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, mild banana peppers and a cup each of mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and relish, pub owner Dennis Liegey said.
For completing the challenge in the under-five-hour time limit, Sciullo won $400, three T-shirts, a certificate "and a burger hangover, as I call it," Liegey said.

That burger would feed your average Sadacori for about 3 months
I think so too. But honestly, is it really THAT possible to eat something that huge in one sitting? Besides this guy and other crazy food contest people, I mean. Like could you guys here eat that much food? It's just mind-boggling to me. _________________

I'm taller and heavier than that guy, but I wouldn't even dream of trying it. I actually don't eat very much, really.
