I was watching this program on the NHK network, channel 18-2, i think in the socal area, anyhow, it was a food program in which 3 young japanese guys ate over 80 meals over a 4 day period and they advertised the price and food selections of each item, i'm not sure what the program was called, but that was a lot of food!!!
sorry, no photos, but not sure if you guys heard of that tv program.

They had another one like it with Gal Sone - Japanese tv singer of Hello Project, in which she ate tons of food and kept eating despite being so petite.

Truth in advertising?

Too Much Lead Prompts Recall Of "Toxic Waste Nuclear Sludge" Candy Bars

Turns out the marketer of some candy bars sold under the Toxic Waste brand wasn't joking.

The Food and Drug Administration says Candy Dynamics of Indianapolis is recalling all flavors of its Toxic Waste Nuclear Sludge Chew Bars after way too much lead turned up in some cherry-flavored bars in California.

The company, citing "an abundance of caution," is pulling all flavors of the bars ever produced. Those would be the sour apple, blue raspberry and cherry chew bars. All of them are imported from Pakistan.

The problem was discovered by the Californian Department of Public Health, found 0.24 parts per million of lead in a batch of cherry-flavored bars. The FDA doesn't allow more than 0.1 parts per million because even a little too much lead can cause health problems for little kids, infants and pregnant women.

The company says its other Toxic Waste candies, marketed on its website as "hazardously sour," are OK and are unaffected by the recall. The potentially lead-laden bars were distributed to stores nationwide and also were sold by mail.

If you've got some of the bad bars, the company says to call (317-228-5012) for instructions on how to dispose of them.[/b]

I was watching Tokyo Eye during my workout and a couple of the show's hosts were restaurant hopping: they landed in a restaurant that served every part of the pig... And one of the dishes was a pig's uterus. bleh bleh bleh

EDIT: On that note, I'm going to try to eat dinner. Sweat

Hot Pepper Showdown: Eating the Naga Viper

What is it about us as a species that we strive to create hotter chile peppers. Glory? Challenge? The need to experience extremes of pleasure and pain? While not yet universally confirmed as the world's hottest pepper, researchers at Warwick University testing the recently-revealed Naga Viper found it to measure 1,359,000 on the Scoville scale, 357,696 SHU (Scoville Heat Units) higher than the Bhut Jolokia (1,001,304 SHU).

"The hottest pepper I see as kind of the same thing as growing the biggest pumpkin," noted Regents Professor Paul Bosland, Director of the Chile Pepper Institute at New Mexico State University. The earliest the Institute would be able to give their official declaration would be the summer of 2011 after growing the Naga Viper and the Bhut Jolokia side-by-side in replicated trials.
