High praise coming from a shellfish lover. I'm sure it tasted amazing.
We stayed on the beach in Phuket for three weeks back before it was so developed. And ate them every evening along with whatever else we ordered. Fab.
Wish the flight wasnt so far from here to Thailand. _________________

Sounds glorious! Not that I didn't already know you were cosmopolitan but your account makes me smile in admiration. Yes, Asia is far from the West Coast...the East Coast only more so!

My other sushi meal in Tokyo. A sushi-ya called "Sushi Ichi" in Ginza.
I ate sushi 3 times in Japan and this was the best by far. I ate here for lunch. It was expensive but not ridiculously so as is the custom if you eat at a high end place for lunch and not for dinner.
Highly recommended for anyone planning a sojourn to Tokyo.
Thanks for the info! Last year my ankles and calves swelled after the flight. It felt like I had elephantitis. Next time I think I'll take pycnogenol, the anti-histamine and wear travel socks.

You're welcome. I've taken pycnogenol off and on for years for its many health benefits. It can be pricey but it's worth it, especially if you are going to take it in preparation for air travel, since that is probably not so often.
I usually buy the Healthy Origins brand from Iherb.com, where I buy 99% of all my supplements. No I'm not shilling...it's just they have the best prices and fastest delivery. I'm not making any money for this referral.
My last off topic blurb about pycnogenol is that with respect to travel it helps with jet lag too!
I had ramen at that new ramen joint I wrote about earlier. Jidaiya. I had the Spicy Miso Ramen. (Kara Miso Ramen) It was good but the Miso Ramen at Ramen Mottainai is STILL the best miso ramen in L.A. Mottainai's blend of four types of miso that are charred and blended in a hot wok makes it tops in my book.
Here's a pic of my bowl @ Jidaiya on Western. It's actually in the same strip mall as Shinsengumi.
