I've seen film of UA, and I still think she looks good.

I suppose if you only think women who are really girly and cute and can do fancy dance routines can be attractive, you're not going to think UA is.

Anyway, this thread is about music...and again I suppose if you can only listen to female musicians who can do complicated and "cute" dance routines...you aren't going to like UA's music.

i never said anythin about her not lookin good. she just looks 'unique' . and i do not think women who are girly, cute, and do dance routines are the only ones attractive.

and like i said, 'although that doesn't really matter'

No worries, Monta. Smile

Just thought you sounded uncomplimentary about UA.

Big Grin

not yet actually Sweat . but i guess i will. i'm still trying to complete my UVERworld discography, i mean, before it's too late hehe . i've been addicted to them lately.

keps, if you want direct downloads instead of torrents, i'm recommending this site www.aznmedia.net and there are more stuff on the forum. i'm not promoting though.

tommy february6 is a girl right? the one with the never-been-shampooed hair? no off

I never heard of that "never been shampooed hair" comment about her before. hehe

But yeah, Tommy feb6 is a girl. Here's a link with more info on her:
http://wiki.theppn.org/Kawase_Tomoko

That site is a gold mine for info on other Japanese artists as well. Smile

Aw, sorry for my UA comments. I got it wrong, and I'm sorry. Forgive me? Bow

UVERworld? I've heard only about one song from them, and I wasn't sure what to think. I'll have to check them out on Last.fm (they are bound to have samples).

Ooh, thanks for that link, Monta! Dancing It looks like there's some interesting stuff on there. Haven't checked it out fully yet, but I'm gonna very soon.

Cori - yeah, I like that site too for info on Japanese artists. It's really good. Thumbsup

Here's a picture of Tommy february6. I think her hair looks washed! Mr Green

errr... her hair looks nice in this. it's a first impression thing. the first picture i saw of her was with a horrid hair and look so i just didn't try to look for any other of her pic after that Sweat hehe

i just love their music. they're not rock, and they're not that pop. you should really give them a try. they're new song Shaka Beach ~Laka Laka La~ is freakin hypnotizing. they did the awsome song called Color of the Heart for anime Blood+ . oh, i recommend a PV first. the Shaka Beach Laka Laka La PV will give a nice impression. and you might actually fall for somethin else okay this sounds gay but even i admit that their vocalist is daymn charming

as for me, i'm downloading TF6's Lonely in Gorgeous right now Big Grin

TF6... hmmm... her voice sounds like Gwen Steffani and her music is a mix between Gwen before her harajuku girls thingi and Madonna.

Beaten not a fan.

her stuff are not ear-catchy to me

as in for today:

Chemistry - This Night : love love love this single

DJ Ozma - Lie Lie Lie : hate hate hate. he's not as earcatchy as he was in his booming year, 2006. E-Yo-Ne wasn't that special either IMO. And now Lie Lie Lie, i do not believe this is actually the song chosen for Naruto Shippunden movie 4 bleh

I'm not a fan of february6, either. The songs sound too similar to each other, too.

Oh, UVERworld are not bad, but I'm not gonna be a fan Smile
They seem to be MASSIVE though, if Last.fm plays are anything to go by.

Kind of funny how you mentioned Gwen Stefani. I always thought she pulled a Tommy february when she started her cheesy 80's-like music solo career.

And yuk. I dislike UVERworld. I guess I'm too old for that type of music. That and stuff from Orange Range, HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, and all those other rock/rap people. U Suck

I'm really loving YUI's Can't Buy My Love CD.

It's a shame I didn't take a chance and try it before. Any other artists like her? Guitar-based pop? She can really sing too Smile

so Gwen's the one that sounds like TF6? okay... hehe i didn't know when TF6 mad eher debut

oh come on now, some teenybopper mainstream music are good hehe seishun! i like ORANGE RANGE. but not HIHG and MIGHTY COLOR, they're like the japanese version of Evanesence, they sound too alike.

-------------------

Yell

i'm recommending this. Sowelu, EXILE. DOBERMAN inc. - 24karats.

DOBERMAN inc. has nice voices, but they're a bit too monotone. the most explosive collaboration this year? check it out for yourself. i mean, at least it has Sowelu in a bikini

Yup. Tommy feb made her debut in 2001, and Gwen did it in 2004 or 2005. So Gwen is a Tommy-wannabe. Bleah

I don't consider them to be "teenybopper," just annoying. But I guess I can see how people like them..

Haha, "at my age"? Sweat Some of my music choices don't really reflect my age I'm kind of a closet MoMusu fan (first 2 albums + various songs), but please don't shoot me. Beaten

@ Monta - hmm, I did check out the UVERworld video, but it didn't really grab my interest (the song, that is). Smile

Maybe - like Cori - I'm not the right age for them (I'm 30!) Twisted rofl

So guys, what about...guys? Male vocalists, I mean - solo ones.

The only male solo artist I adore is Gackt. And I do like what Sugizo does, but he hasn't got that great a voice.

My absolute favourite male voice is that of Ryuichi Kawamura (ex-Luna Sea). His solo work is dreadful, though (the voice is great, the solo songs are sloppy dross).

Anyone got any favourites to suggest?
