Kazanko I agree with you this drama is so sad!!! At every episode I cry one liter of tears!!! The drama's a real tear-jerker!!! I guess that it's because it's a true story and that the actors are very moving in their parts as well as because I'm very sensitive! Aya ganbatte!!!

Kioku Fansub Group! ganbatte!!! korekara mo ganbatte kudasai!!!

Thanks a lot Kazanko~!!! glomp Hug

I really appreciate all the hard work you guys had done....

I'll definitely support this drama.. It's at the top of my list for this season's drama... Then only Nobuta follows... ahhh... I love sad dramas... I can cry and cry and cry all I want..

I hope there's a twist somewhere at the ending.. Even if she dies..I hope she dies happily.... Fingers crossed

@ tInoltin:

aritgatou for your support.
hai, im hoping too, that she dies happily. Haruto for sure will do sth for her do. The real aya died with 25. its such a young age, even your life hasnt really started.
her photos in the end, she seems always full of energy and positv. i really admire her for that. but that is just an impression

Don't talk about death, please! It makes me sad to think that she'll die whatever happens!!! I'm feel sorry for her parents!!! It must be very difficult for them to know that their daughter will die no matter how what they do! They can't save her but they can just pray for she dies as late as possible! It's terrible! It must be really unbearable!

i understand you fully and agree with you what you said.
gomen ne , i dont wanted to make anyone sad or hurt with my talk. okay i stop now talking about it.

i saw today the 2nd episode again. the actress reminds me very much on kioko fukada. but i like her acting much more. Even she is very young, she plays very great. hope to see more doramas with her.
and also ryo improved since gambatte.
actually all actors are great.

I went to the 1 litres of website and 2nd topic there is an interview of the cast

Erika Sawajiri's interview on Aya

Question: have you ever shed 1 litre of tears before?
she's the type who doesnt let people see her cry

Question: through your acting, did you have any feelings? means... did she have any feelings while acting as aya?

then she said she HAD a brother.they used to fight alot.but after her bro died.. she felt like she lost a loved one.. something like that.yeah.. so because of her bro's death..she understands aya's feelings

Q: did you feel any pressure?
no pressure

That is a summary of the interview.

I can't believe how much I cried at the first two episodes...need to get episode 3 now. I kind of don't want to watch anymore though, because I know it will just get more heart wrenching. It's such a beautiful drama though...poor Aya. The photographs in the credits are so touching.

Question) I want to understand it fully since my Japanese is shakey - I've looked for soft-subs for the first 3 eps but can't find any. Are there any? Or are there some hardsubs out - and if so where?

Thanks in advance!

I started watching this drama a few days ago and I'm already sooo into it. If anyone is interested, PBF posted ep 2 subtitles on their Clubbox last night, but I noticed this morning that it still isn't posted on D-Addicts for some reason...so maybe they will only be posting onto their Clubbox from now on??

When I was younger I read a series of books by Lurlene McDaniel, which all deal with teenagers/young adults and terminal diseases, so this drama reminds me of those books very much.

The below might contain SPOILERS if you haven't been watching the raw eps...not sure if they're really spoilers, but I will warn just in case ^^;;

So now for my thoughts...I really hope Haruto and Aya get together, because I'm a sucker for romance, but I was thinking that if they do get together and Aya dies how much that will affect Haruto. I mean, it's clear his brother's death has really affected him, so I can't imagine how badly he would end up hurt if he ended up loving Aya. It makes me so sad thinking about it. ;__;

Also, I noticed in the preview for the 4th episode that Aya's sister is walking a dog and Haruto is petting it...is this the same stray dog Aya and Haruto found? Because it's a lot bigger now, so I'm wondering if they will be skipping ahead a few months, or if it was just easier for the actors to work with an older dog rather than a puppy, and they will not explain the dog's difference in size. ^^;; Hmm...that's just my random thought, lol.

Guys...this drama is based on a novel of a true story, right?

Remember at the end of the first episode..there's a picture of a girl... Is that the real girl?? I'm guessing it is...

yup that is the real girl
I sort of read the book at kinokuniya and my tears almost dropped (in a public place!!!!! Sweat )

if you get the chance to see the book, be prepared, it is very sad as it shows pictures of the girl (the real girl) from her being healthy until the point when she is bedridden Puppy Dog Eyes

she is suffering from this illness which destroys part of the brain that controls muscular movement and coordination ...which explains why she keeps falling down or she can't write well towards the end....my friend said it is a very cruel disease because mentally you are still the same but your body can't move the way you want them to ....

not sure about the character haruto though, haven't read about him in the book yet.....

eh.......don't think this is a spoiler right? if this is...then maybe i will do something about it.....do let me know

I think his character is fictional therefore I am not sure whether it is in the book but as someone mentioned it before Aya's mother wished that there is someone like Haruto besides Aya.

Haruto would also have been added to make it more suited for TV. It's the kind of drama that will get more ratings if there is a heartfelt childhood romance involved. It also would bulk out the plot a lot more allowing for more things to happen...after all they're basing it on the real life event, not telling it as it happened.

I wonder how the romances will continue, because right now it seems like aya likes that basketguy more then haruto..

and in next ep aya will be in a kimono it seems, I love girls in kimonos Naughty

and about the growing dog. I guess they will skip some months because else the drama would get too long Bleah and the doctor also in the preview to ep 4 said that the illness developes faster then expected.

reminds me a bit of sekachuu with girl getting sick, hopefully she will have a boy who is with her till the end in this drama too, don't want her to die alone Puppy Dog Eyes

Erm... I dont know... But my instinct says Haruto's going to make the first move.. I think, he's beginning to notice Aya and care about her....

i dont know why...but i got a feeling that the bball guy will hurt Aya... Sweat (Maybe i'm just being biased)
