here's my list:
(not in order)
1.PRIDE
2.GOODLUCK
3.BEAUTIFUL LIFE
4.FOODFIGHT
5.Aishiteiru to itte kure
6.ORANGE DAYS
7.STRAWBERRY ON SHORTCAKE
5.ORANGE DAYS
6.INLOVE WITH A SUPERSTAR
You put Orange Days twice in the list. You must have really like this drama (or is it Satoshi Tsumabuki that you really like most? )
I'll put all the Jdoramas that include Ryoko Hirosue in the cast in my list _________________

A thought.
One of the best things that jdorama can offer in general is sometimes left unnoticed. It is the background music.
Sometimes the background music gets the jdorama going. Taking Gokusen for example, the BGM really heightens up all emotion, from comedy to action to drama. This drama can't live without the BGM, because (arguably/IMO) this drama has average acting only.
If anything, I'll be looking at this aspect (aside from the Filipino dubbing) in GMA's showing of Gokusen. Local channels are notorious in making technical problems or modifications to the music that comes with the asian dramas. They often either have lower volume, or gets replaced by some other boring song made locally. This kind of low production value really annoys me, because it retracts from the 'experience' a good asian drama can deliver.

I understand what you feel because I feel the same way about the possibility that people here will see my Ryoko Hirosue in Jdoramas . But look on the bright side, atleast people can relate to you when you talk about Jdoramas _________________

Saito, arigato for understanding where I'm coming from.
Yeah, I guess that's the bright side. It's not like I'm going home to the Philippines anytime soon anyways.. hahahahaha.
I was watching Gokusen earlier and I am seriously thinking of having my hair done a-la Matsumoto-kun. hehehehe..
Nah.. Takayuki-san will always be my first love.. God, I cannot believe I'm saying this.. I'm such a dork.
Omg. Can you believe Matsumoto's going to do Hana Yori Dango? He's going to play the role of Jerry Yan in Meteor Garden.. He's going to do a good job, it's not a far cry from his role in Gokusen..
I am just rambling here. I heart Yamada Takayuki..

OMG!! I just watched the first soft subbed ep of the show.. and uh.
I like Matsumoto-kun.. pero they massacred his crowning glory!!! CURLS?? Are you kidding me???? Pero he pulls off the "I'm so bored with my life and I will beat you up if you dare to question me look"
The F4 that the Filipinos have come to know is way more lovable than the Japanese counterpart.. or am i being judgmental with the first ep?
I still like the one with Jerry Yan...
Just sharing..
In fairness.. Wealthy of the wealthy.. And it's more loyal to the manga..
According to some people at IGMA, doramas like Hero, God please give me more precious time and Strawberry on Shortcake is ABS-CBN-bound. _________________

omg. i FREAKED out when i heard about this. gokusen is one of my absolute favorite doramas. although im happy that they're finally showing one in our country, stations here have awful reputations when it comes to dubbing. ive seen gokusen subbed and it would be total disaster if they literally translated some of the dialogue. not to mention the fact that we would be seeing pictures of them on the streets.
i just saw the CM and the dubbing didnt sound very good. it was BAD. bad. i dont care if i sound biased but yukie has a great voice. i doubt they can imitate that.
i heard SO long ago that ABS had SOS and mou sukoshi but they still havent aired it. i really really hope they do justice.
*fangirl mode*
my adorable little rabbit is gonna be on phil TV. they're gonna be all over him..oh the horror T_T

i heard ABS has HERO too.
i don't think that'll click because some filipinos dont know what prosecutors are. and it doesnt have a solid love sob story (which seems to be a must for prime time. gah.)
more mixed emotions ...
i dont wanna see posters of my shun on the street. T_T

NOW I'M CONFUSED.
why did gma show a commercial saying that "my 19-year-old sister-in-law" is also airing on saturdays? before sop and eatbulaga? isn't this gokusen's timeslot?
and I sooooo agree with you about not sharing! hahaha, I'm happy that jdoramas will be shown and hopefully they'd have the stars come over!!! but the channelS (2 AND 7) have a way of making the greatest things come out sucky...

It's the dubbing that ruins it for me. I saw the ad for Friends (Fukada, Won Bin) online and I shook my head.

as for the dubbing part, idk whats got into their balls, they should just leave that alone, i mean they showed it here with subtitles. _________________

Not quite happy about the fact that it's all dubbed.... I mean, wouldn't it be better to just air it subbed?
Probably because some viewers might find it hard to read. Besides, you can simultaneously study while watching if the show was subbed.
It would be hard to change the format, since everything shown here so far are dubs.
Personally though, I want subs than dubs. I like to hear the original. Not to mention it practices my ear to hear Japanese words. _________________

Cool! Good to know that local channels in the US are showing subbed asian dramas . Hope they will do the same here in the Philippines .

Yeah, subs are really good to watch but, like Akasaka Hiker said, it will be hard to change the format because most of the people here are already used on watching dubbed foreign dramas (I hate to say this but Pinoys don't adapt to changes that easily ). This format has already been going on since the time when Mexican dramas hit the Philippine television during the 90's and this continued with Chinese and Korean dramas. So, sad to say this, but Japanese doramas will have to inherit this format as well . We can say that dubbed dramas has somewhat became a tradition on Philippine television. If only they have shown subbed dramas from the start then people wouldn't find it difficult to watch subs . But I'm still hoping that Jdoramas will revolutionize Philippine television by showing those doramas subbed. _________________

did they show gokusen? I wasn't able to watch as I wasn't at home...
was it good? how was the it?
personally, what I hate most when they show kdramas here is that they CUT scenes! and when they cut, they cut A LOT! but I do hope they don't do that to jdoramas as they are already short....
