oh yeah..I did go there for fun..not work..THANK GOD!! Oh dear travelling ..you mean like long hours flight? ssheeesh..tell me about it. But it's the only way to do it.
Nagoya? woaah..maybe I should try to land there next time. I was glad that Narita Airport it's not that complicated, I mean in terms of getting around.
narita not complicated? I HATE narita! not only (to me anyways) it's complicated, tokyo people are just so unfriendly. i usually prefer kansai in osaka, but this yr, the centrair (nagoya int'l airport) just open, and plus there is a theme park about an hour away. figure we'll hit there as well. _________________

Well, Narita isn't that complicated..not to me, comparing to Heathrow. London or Schipol in the Netherlands (too big!!)
Unfriendly? seriously? I got help all the time while I was in Tokyo *cough* they like to smile too... Hmm..I should drop by to Osaka as well on my next visit.

I didn't find Tokyo to be unfriendly at all! Nor Kansai region for the most part (except for some teenage locals from a boonie town who never saw a l before). People in both were SOOOO friendly and helpful to me. I didn't mind Narita airport but other than O'hare that was the only airport I'd been to

i agree though...narita is wack...it's way too far from the city center....
Haha.. if you find Narita so complicated, then you must have had a hard time with the JR train lines.
When I went to Japan, I found that people were really friendly there. Even though they didn't speak english that well, they were quite willing to help.

In some ways, Kansai airport is far from Osaka. Not as far as Narita (1 hour using NEX), but still half an hour using the JR express trains. But it's too bad Haneda isn't used by most of the foreign carriers.
LUCKY! It's gonna be a while until I can visit Japan. Hopefully I can apply for some sort of ryuugakusei program to stay in Japan for a while for my studies.
Have lots of fun over there for me Niko.
yeah, it's been about two years since i last visited tokyo!, what an experience! it'll probably be awhile before i can make another trip to Japan, i wish i could go this summer, but i doubt it, no vacation time for me due to work.

It's been years since I've been to Tokyo. Then again, it was only for a few hours due to a stop over flight.

JAPAN! i miss it so. if you go to tokyo, i suggest going to the tokyo ginza. that's a fun place to be. and always eat from those little food stands equivalent to NYC hotdog vendors. GET THE DANGO! oh and the...TAKOYAKI! i would kill for some good takoyaki. ride the shinkansen, though its expensive-o. go to a sushi bar and consume as much sushi as physically possible. try and make it to Harajuku. i love the clothes there, though some may cost alot. visit jusco, and eat at hokka hokka. if you like sanrio, hit the store near some holiday. they have these spiffy gi-normous gift bags of stuff for 1000 yen...stuff that normally would cost maybe 500 yen a piece or so. oh and i know they say if you are abroad, dont eat food that your normally accustomed to but get a teriyaki burger from mcdonald's there. i love them sooooo much. *drool* if you can, go to temple. beautiful architecture and great noodles. oh, basic rule: remember to bow. thats a must. drink the milk. the milk there is the BEST! well, for me at least. and i love milk. errr, sorry i'm rambling now. there's just so much to do there and i miss it alot so...err...sorry again....
