With 10 days to go before their graduation ceremony, high school life was supposed to come to a peaceful end for the 29 students (Nagano Mei, Hagiwara Riku, Akita Shiori, Sakumoto Takara, Wakabayashi Kaoru, Katayose Ryota, Tomita Miu, Suzuki Jin, Kawaei Rina, Furukawa Tsuyoshi, Kamishiraishi Moka, Mochizuki Ayumu, Shinjo Yume, Moriyama Aki, Tsukimiya Himena, Mifune Kaito, Hotta Mayu, Imai Yuki, Hibi Mikoto, Wakabayashi Jiei, Imada Mio, Tobita Hikari, Ohara Yuno, Kamio Fuju, Yokota Mayu, Nishimoto Ginjiro, Mori Nana, Takao Yuki, Fukuhara Haruka, Yanai Yumena) of Class 3A. However, on this day, the sound of an explosion reverberates, startling them. Form teacher Hiiragi Ibuki (Suda Masaki) gathers the students and tells them this, “All of you are now my hostages”. With these words, their relationship transforms from teacher and students to criminal and hostages. They begin their final class from this moment. It is about the truth of the death of a student who lost his life several months earlier. A star student who left this world all of a sudden without leaving a suicide note or saying anything. Taken hostage by their teacher, the students now have to confront the truth that they had been avoiding. | JDrama Weblog |

| 1. | Comments by pash [Rating: 10/10] Whoa, what a powerful story!!! I usually am quite subjective in my reviews, pointing out that whatever I write is simply "imho", but in this case I gotta tell you: if you watch this and it doesn't touch you deeply, than I'd say you should check your pulse, 'cause there's a high chance you're dead and you just don't know it! Jokes aside, such a thought-provoking script, and such a moving performance by the main actor! I normally point to "1 lt. no Namida" whenever someone asks me "I'm curious about J-dramas...where should I start?"...from now on, I think I might give them this as a second choice! |
