Synopsis

Criminologist Hideo Himura gets so much pleasure out of being in crime scenes that he�fs even confessed to having wanted to kill someone. Constantly seeking out the ultimate crime, he is indeed a man with quite a few issues.
Mystery writer Arisu Arisugawa, on the other hand, keeps a close eye on Himura�fs investigations and writes about them but at times completely misses the point. Not at all the type of guy you�fd call dependable, Arisugawa nonetheless professes to be the protector of the clumsy Himura.
Although these two men appear like they have no business being in crime scenes, they mitigate each other�fs shortcomings and use their compelling logic to unravel the elaborately woven tricks left behind by the criminals. It�fs almost as if Himura and Arisugawa use incredible magical powers to tease out unimaginable truths!
Himura stoically tackles bizarre and dark criminal investigations while Arisu�fs sense of mission propels him to passionately cover the back of his conflicted and vulnerable buddy. Based on deep trust for each other, theirs is a touching friendship you won�ft want to miss!

1.	Comments by Sakebitosan [Rating: 6/10] Odd casting and a somewhat lightweight treatment detract from an otherwise promising detective mystery series. Saito Takumi, who was excellent as Dr. Morita in "Ishitachi no Renai Jijou," is totally out of place as detective Himura, and the stylistic flourishes the director jammed in there don't help the situation. Worth watching, but similar shows like "Galileo," "Kiina," "Subete ga F ni Naru" and "Joshi Deka" are better instances of the same basic formula. [Currently - Jan 2021 - available on Viki as "Criminologist Himura and Mystery Writer Arisugawa."]
2.	Comments by andwewonder [Rating: 6/10] Ok drama, started it because I was bored and it was enough to sustain my interest. Can imagine that those who don't particularly like crime/detective/police dramas might find it boring though. A bit too much of a ripoff of the whole Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson thing, and there were some interesting parts that weren't explored, but it was still decent entertainment.
