| Set in the not too distant future in Japan at a time when various issues have exacerbated due to ill feelings between generations and tremendous dissatisfaction, the economy is depressed and society continues to breakdown. WW2, baby boomers, bubble, lost, relaxed and millennial generations – Every generation points the blame at other generations. Prime Minister Ando Naoki announces that the country will hold a decisive battle to determine the president who will run the country. Called the Sedai Wars, a battle royale with representatives from each generation will take place in a virtual reality space. Kashiwagi Satoru (Yamada Yuki) is chosen to represent his relaxed generation. The rule is simple: Whoever is the last one standing wins. |
