Michiko has been married to Shunpei for 14 years. Shunpei is a chef at "Meigetsu", a Japanese restaurant with a long honorable history. Kiku, his late mother and a mistress of Meigetsu, did not let Michiko get involved in the management of the restaurant, which Michiko realized after her death. One day, Shunpei asks Michiko to pick up a good customer from Kanazawa. That is the first time Michiko sees Tae Yahagi, who is a young owner of a sake brewery. She says to Michiko: "I've come to take away your husband from you". Tae has been seeing Shunpei for 3 years, and has already had a divorce notice with Shunpei's name and seal. Michiko starts shaking when she is told that Kiku knew their relationship. The war between two women has begun. Michiko confronts Shunpei and agrees to the divorce on condition that she gets the position of the mistress of Meigetsu and Shunpei stays as a chef. Although Meigetsu is in a deep debt, Michiko wants to keep this restaurant as it is the only thing which could connect her with Sunpei. But Michiko needs money. She makes up her mind and goes to Tae with a registration form of marriage for Tae and Shunpei. Tae is surprised to learn that Michiko tries to borrow big money on security of this registration form. Tae decides to lend 60-million yen, but the security has to be Michiko herself. Now, Michiko and Tae are rivals in love, and co-investors in business. As time passes, they start to respect each other. But there are so many problems ahead of Michiko. |
