Good acting but poor storyline

Oguri Shun exaggerates a little too much as Koyama Kazumi; Yamada Yuu is solid as Nakahara Mimi; Yashima Norito provides some good laughs as Hikita Shouzo; Miura Haruma is excellent as Shiraishi Ryo; Yusuke Santamaria is quirky as the unpredictable Omu-Omu; the chemistry between the actors is fantastic but the plot is a real let-down. How Koyama accrues his debts and then works to pay it off is a bit unrealistic; there is no meaning to the 'love story' between Shiraishi and Sumire; and the marriage at the end is totally unnecessary. There are some powerful scenes in this drama especially that exchange between Shirashi and Koyama in episode 6, but that's not enough to save it. The main message is that connecting to people and the heart is more important than money, which in the ideal world should hold true. But realistically it is difficult to achieve, and if there is anyone in this world who lives like Koyama Kazumi, God help them.

I do not like so well!

Sadly I'd have to say I watched one episode and stopped. It makes for VERY light viewing and only if one is a big fan of Oguri Shun but otherwise I'd give it a miss =( His character was simply too exaggerated to the point it was ridiculously annoying rather than funny..

This was actually a breath of fresh air from Shun, after being type cast as the silent/mysterious character in dramas since 2005. But.. I guess it was overdoing it a little, most especially in episode 1. There were even times that I really resented his acting & his character. Good thing, it lessens as the story went on. The situation was more realistic but the lead character wasn't so that's why the way he handled it was different from what a normal person would do. I started liking it at around ep4, thatfs when I really started laughing at Shunfs character plus the scenes with Shiraishi that would always end up in him hugging Shiraishi. Also, the scene when Koyama was counting the money while Omu Omu keep on distracting him and donft forget the weird scenes with his mother. All in all, it was a mixture of a human drama, light to exaggerated comedy and friendship. I wouldn't say that I didn't like the ending but I guess adding that marriage thing in the end was not necessary.
