Kazoku no Katachi

"A single 39-year-old man who cannot get married" and "a divorced 32-year-old woman who doesn't want to get married again". The unlikely couple has enough trouble as it is, but with their nosey parents, their problems grow even bigger. This funny yet touching home drama asks viewers what family and marriage are. "In the current style of life in which people increasingly choose not to get married, this drama will make viewers think about the role of family and marriage once again" the producer says.

Daisuke (Shingo Katori) works for a stationery manufacturer and enjoys being single. One day, a fire bell goes off at the apartment he recently bought. Daisuke accuses one of the residents, Hanako (Juri Ueno), who thinks her room is on fire. However, it is actually his father, Youzo (Toshiyuki Nishida), who smoked out Daisuke's room when he was cooking. To make matters worse, Daisuke's troublemaking father brought his son-in-law to live all together. His comfortable single life suddenly comes to an end...
