Kounodori

The popular comic with circulation of 1.5 million has been made into a drama starring Go Ayano. Based on the thorough research of scriptwriter, Mutsumi Yamamoto (Yae's Sakura, GeGeGe no Nyobo, Aibo), and directed by Nobuhiro Doi (Flying Colors), this human drama depicts the struggles of hospital staff who deliver babies in high risk situations..

A pianist called "BABY" is playing a piano in concert but suddenly leaves the stage after only 10 minutes. The audience is disappointed with the performance, but what they do not know is that BABY, Sakura Kounotori (Go Ayano), is an obstetrician who was called into the hospital. The patient is a pregnant woman, Natsuki Yano (Fumika Shimizu), who has never taken an obstetric examination. Even though Shimoya (Mayu Matsuoka) says there is a risk of infection, Sakura takes the woman in saying "the baby is innocent". With the help of Imahashi (Nao Omori) from Neonatology, and veteran maternity nurse - Komatsu (Yo Yoshida), Sakura begins the surgery...
