The ending song was very suitable for the video sequence. I hope one day I will have the chance to make music videos.

Maybe not so original but still very good dorama with a fabulous cast. Shibasaki-san and Tsumabuki-kun seem to be a perfect couple. One of my favourite doramas.

Worth a watch

Great story but poor ending, I hate stories where the female lead runs off then comes back to the lead and acts like nothing happend.

A wonderful, beautiful story, a talented cast, and most of all a really superb sound track. The music instrumentals are so special! It adds to the romantic flavor of this lovely production. Thank you so much for a series of eleven visual and audio splendor.

Very addictive

I finished this drama in a single day, and find myself searching for more information on the net. I have only watched the more slapstick variety of Japanese drama in the past - "Orange Days" has given me a new insight into J-drama.

There is no doubt Shibasaki has done well in her role. However I've watched "Good Luck" and her performance in OD reminded me strongly of the rigid mechanic in GL. I'm not sure whether Shibasaki is acting the role or acting herself. I'll try to get hold of more drama feathering her to find out.

Not being Japanese I am not sure how realistic OD is, but if this is a quasi-accurate portrait of the Japanese culture/mentality then I suppose it is a good way to get an insight into the Japanese mind.

sad yet up lifting

I thought Satoshi and Kou did a good job in this drama. It also brought out some good points in life... makes you think...
Keita was so cute and adorable ^.^

Probably good for graduating students

Sweet & heart-warming, portrayed graduates' dilema about pursuing their dream careers. It's not a drama that gave me yo-yo feelings, it's like a pleasant drive along the moutain highways, maybe if I were abt to graduate now I would feel more for this show. I do enjoy it overall, it just doesn't linger in my mind that's all. Satoshi is a talented & cute actor. I don't find Kou that pretty but she definitely acted well (I have had a few mute neighbours before so I know how they behave)

good show, kandou shita.

Orange Days is simply charming and poignant, and I fell in love with both Kou Shibasaki and Satoshi Tsumabuki in this dorama. The story is not a new one, but it is fresh and very well told. The performances of all the supporting casts were very good too. In the end, we cared and felt the growing pains of these young adults as they strived to become adults and make something of themselves. Sae was very challenging role and Kou Shibasaki was splendid in playing her, so much so, that I can't imagine another actress as Sae. Great drama, do not miss this!!

Very touching

Orange Days was one of the first j-dramas I watched completely, and it's definitely one of the best. I used Orange Days to introduce my friends (some who like anime and some who do not) to the world of Japanese drama. I really enjoyed the chemistry between all of the main characters, and the interesting backstories that were revealed throughout the series. Orange Days is definitely a series that I wouldn't mind watching again and again. The romance, comedy and drama were well-timed and great, and I learned more Japanese Sign Language each episode. It's gotten me interested in American Sign Language. Overall, a very wonderful, poignant series that I'll always cherish.

One of my favorites of all time. All the characters were great in the show, especially the two leads. I'm watching it for the second time now. Makes me want to learn sign language as well.

I do love this drama and have watched it at least three times or more. The actors all did very well. The relationships between the characters were also developed well in the first half of the drama. However, the later half was not as good as the previous half. The plot became a bit melodramatic and dragging. Anyway, it was still a good drama and worth watching! It was also fun to learn some sign language as watching this drama. BTW, the theme song by Mr. Children was indeed great!

This is a really good series, that definately grew on me. Although I didn't find the main characters incredibly likeable at first (Sae especially), after a few episodes they really started to open up, and you see their subtleties.

The characters are pretty emotional for much of the show, but they have balanced out that bitter-sweetness with Keita and his 'Orange Society' plans (hehe). The story overall is very personal, and stays focused on the small group of friends, without straying too much. It captures that intensity of college life/love well.

It's also quite interesting how 'flawed' many of the characters are, in a human way. They can be quite hurtful to one another. They get angry, jealous, and selfish. You get to see both sides, not just the 'perfect' view of their personalities.

A fun and satisfying show, that will make you think. Watch it! :)

Doesn't get any better than this!

This is the first Jdorama i have ever watched,so its sorta special to me..Although the plot was rather sad from time to time, and that it repeated itself quite a lot during the whole season,it still was fantastic, especially regarding the leading actors, and of course my all time favourite Hiroki Narimiya..Men i dont get tired of him..Anyways,its OST is also a catch,it is very lovely. The dorama is also full of laughter.See it definitely!

Love it

This drama was absolutely fantastic. I sincerely would not hesitate to use multiple superlatives to describe my love of Orange Days. I am so completely swept up by how great this drama is as an artistic endeavor and a grand exposition of humanity on so many levels. I would UNEQUIVOCALLY recommend this show to anyone and everyone. The story was great and the acting, greater. Kou Shibasaki's performance was so compelling it instantly became unforgettable to me as one of the most equisitely humane portrayals ever on Japanese television. Satoshi Tsumabuki is a much matured actor and is surely poised to be Japan's next big thing. I found very little regrettable about this show and its fine qualities are too many to enumerate here. Please do yourself a favor and watch this drama.

i love this!!!

the best j-dorama for me so far...i love the whole concept of the series, the characters are very well-portrayed...plus the whole sign language thing...even if they don't say anything most of the times, sae and kai are still able to affect you. makes you treasure your friends more. the best!!!
