A detective story that evolves around two high school students, Mizuhara Kana, a curious girl who can't help looking after others, and her new classmate, Toma So, who graduated from an elite U.S. college at the age of 15. The two try to solve mysteries with a help of Kana's father, who is an investigator.

The high concept - of a pair of high schoolers out to solve unsolvable mysteries - is probably more engaging than logical, but MoMiusu veteran Ai Takahashi turns on the charm. Each episode involves some murder or another, but that's a satisfactory engine for the cute teen relationship that's at the core of the series. Takahashi really makes the series work; you can't help but smile whenever she's on screen.

takahashi ai of morning musume does a great job as a high school student here. because of her, this detective drama is filled with cheerful warmth and feelings of youth. certainly not technical enough for those who are hardcore mystery case seekers...but it gets the job done.
