| Kitano Sakura (Takahata Mitsuki) hails from a small, sparsely populated northern island. She is a new employee of Hanamura Construction, the largest construction company, in the spring of 2009. At the welcome ceremony for newcomers, she announces to the CEO, “My dream is to build a bridge that joins my hometown to mainland!” Sakura single-mindedly charges toward her dream. However, her inability to consider the feelings of others causes unexpected situations and throws a wrench into the works. She sticks to her principles despite adversity and gradually inspires her colleagues, who are initially lukewarm, to get involved. |
