Itoshi Kimie 2004 · Fuji TV

Very touching

A very good drama that is sadly overshadowed by Orange Days of the same season. It's a touching and mellow love story without being overly melodramatic.
A story told more from Shiki's (Kanno Miho) POV and she does a very good job as the very selfless and likeable Shiki who never gave up on Shinsuke. The superb cast, esp Shiki's family and friends, is another reason to watch this drama. One of the better dramas I have watched the last few years.

Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi 2002 · Fuji TV

Best drama from Takuya

A deep pyschological drama with a superb cast. Takuya Kimura shows his acting range in this drama, as the morally ambiguous Katase Ryo. For both Takuya Kimura critics and fans.

Takuya's portrayal of Katase Ryo is at times chilling in his nonchalance and yet enables viewers to sympathise with his sometimes childlike innocence as he plays and manipulates the people around him to forget his own emptiness. Also, he did a very job portraying Ryo's sense of fear and uncertainty when he started to fall in love with Yuko.

All in all, a very highly recommended drama which compels you to think and ponder, unlike some of the fluff out there.

Pride 2004 · Fuji TV

Disappointing

Very disappointed with this drama. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Takuya fan but this drama is stale and melodramatic. Not much acting skills needed from Takuya since such characters should be easy for him to portray. A drama that is perhaps pleasant enough to watch but ultimately forgettable.
