• Good Luck Drama Discussion · 3 May 2004, 04:53 OK folks. The solution, at least to my problem, is here (thanks Reuben). Note that ffdshow has a sourceforge project page with my 06/17/02 version as well as an "alpha" 05/23/03 version. I don't know if the 2003 version…
• Good Luck Drama Discussion · 3 May 2004, 02:56 The JTV thread is here I have not yet been able to get either the old or the new version to play properly on my system. I haven't figured out what's wrong. Apparently others are able to play even the old version perfect…
• Strawberry on the Shortcake Drama Discussion · 29 Feb 2004, 12:12 Fossil, I share all of the SOS episodes on Emule, whenever I have it running (which is quite often). Just do a search for Strawberry_on_the_Shortcake. Bittorent is great for new releases, but it sucks for older stuff. I…
• Food, Food, and More Food Thread General Discussion · 21 Feb 2004, 11:33 Crepes may not be japanese per se, but the ones I saw in Tokyo I have not seen anywhere else, certainly not in Paris. It was more like a big "hand rolled" ice cream cone with all kinds of weird stuff in it. The place I …

• JDrama Recommendations Drama Discussion · 30 Dec 2003, 13:35 Can anyone recommend J-dramas for someone whose favorite is Strawberry on the Shortcake? Someone called it "bittersweet" and I agree. I also liked Long Vacation, Beautiful Life, and Good Luck (so far), in that order (bu…
• JDrama Recommendations Drama Discussion · 27 Dec 2003, 21:49 Long Vacation is good (so far), but IMO, SOS is way better. I have actually never seen LOVE portrayed as powerfully, although some of the lines/translations are a bit corny. Also I love that name. What's with the stupid…
• viewing Emule files General Discussion · 27 Dec 2003, 12:03 I don't think avipreview actually needs the first part (chunk) of the file. I think it can now figure out some of the avi header info by itself. In any case there is an option in emule (Preferences:Files) to "try to dow…
• viewing Emule files General Discussion · 27 Dec 2003, 08:56 The preview button does actually work before the file is finished (hence the name "preview"), but a lot of the file needs to be complete before it works. I find it to be unreliable. Instead I use avipreview. I copy (not…
