sorry because of the small pic.. i used my phone camera...
How cute! Are the smaller than Beetles? I actually drove behind a brand new one of those the other day. Well, I think it was new. I didn't think we had them here It was like a goldish-tan color.

I think it's about the same size as a Beetle....
The old Minis are pretty rare here in the States, but of the ones I've seen, they're in great shape... Collector's cars, essentially.

had an excellent outing this weekend at the maryland international speedway to watch quartermile drag racing. their site is here:

the top drawer was definitely paul enfantis with his 98 toyota solara, breaking and now owning the 1/4 mile record of 3 run under 7.5 seconds!!!!
My buddy took these picture and hope you enjoy them.

Dude, 7.5 seconds on the 1/4 mile! WTF! That thing must be a BEAST under the hood.
even with nitro oxide (which a LOT of people used) spouting out like whales, sub 7.5 is unbelievable. His actual 3 runs were: 7.48; 7.37; and 7.41!!! I googled all around for press coverage, but i don't think they have them posted yet. if you go to the links i gave, maybe you'll have better luck. (just remember to replace the hXXP with http)
There was also a '69 corolla (yeah, no kidding) that i kinda felt sorry for. he had a great trial/quals, with runs of 9.37; 9.08; 9.1, but eventually lost ot to that freakin solara. _________________

it was running a supra engine with a HUGE single turbo. the team knew what they were doing, also the driver too. i was at their booth watching them work on the car.
Well then... as the traffic police always say: if you drink, don't drive
Totally agree!
To add to this... I was watching the news a couple of days ago... A group representing the auto insurance companies did a study, where it reveiled that driving while talking on a cell phone actually distracts the driver's concentration on the road MORE than alcohol!!!! The crap I've seen on the roads these past few weeks, I'm starting to believe this! Just the other day, a car driving beside me nearly hit me on the side, swirving into my line. And sure enough, the lady behind the wheel was gabbing away on her cell phone (and I don't even think she realized what just happened!!!!)
