I love his songs "Hoshi no Suna" and "Vanilla"; gotta love the crescent album and sixth day. Though I must say that I have a preference toward him from his MM days.

Hey, I love Gackt but I just want to ask you guys if you've heard about Gackt coming over to Australia for his fanclub or something. I didn't even know he had a fanclub in Aus. OMG i would so die if he comes to perform. In Aus. we're deprived of any J-stars coming over. I just want to know if this rumour is true or not. If it's true I wonder if he would be performing and whereabouts would he be. And where is this fanclub of his in Aus.

Man...this guy is really insane! Has anybody read his autobiography? Its pretty interesting though disturbing at the same time. He has an entire chapter entitled 'knives.' Hahaha wow.
Though, he has had a pretty rough life...besides the whole part of him having billions and billions of yen to throw around.
At the age of ten his parents put him into a mental institution because he said that he could see dead people. People say that Gackt has the sixth sense. But i mean Ten years old!! That's horrible! According to Gackt-san the way he was able to get out of that hospital was to cleverly copy the Doctors movements, how he acted, spoke and so on. So he got let out ((not sure exactly when tho)). During his life he has had, i beleive it was, 13 near-death expiences, many of which included almost drowning. No doubt this has probobly screwed him up as well.
His first band that he joined was called 'Cain's Feel.' This name is most definatly a spin off of Cain in the Bible who murdered his bother Able. Odd name for a band...
Then later he joined Malice Mizer. An odd Goth band, they all dressed up like crazed evil clowns. This band fell apart due to the fact that the band members told Gackt that they could not work with him any longer and that he was too arrogant. Though, i'm sure they said in a much nicer way. So then Gackt went off on his own releasing Les Mizrables, not very many tracks on this cd but it did jump start his solo career. OVer the years he released many albums like 'Moon' with his famous 'Lu:na' track on it, 'Mars' ((my personal fav)) Cresent, Rebirth, Sixth Day, and Seventh Night.
During this time one of his closest friends ((who was also with him in Malic Mizer)) passed away. This struck Gackt hard, so he says in his autobiography. A short time later, his long-term girlfriend got Lukiemia (sp?) and a very bad case of it. This also hit the man hard. Over ap eriod of about two years she steadily recovered and only by the Grace of God is she still alive today. Ironic thing is that those two broke up. Hmn? Not like the movies...
These are only some of the tragic things that has happened to Camui Gackt. Some people would say he is crazy after just looking at some of the odd, freaky, pictures he has. Some would say that they are also very artistic, which i think they are ((even if someone them are very gross...)). He looks to be in his early thirties or so although his actual age cannot be determined because Gackt has publically announced that he was born in the 1500's. 1560 if i'm not mistaken. The man think's he's over 400 years old...that's not right...although...he does speak dozens upon dozens of languages fluently, including the two most difficult english and chinese, he can play just about every instrument with extreme talent, and that's impressive. He is an incredible writer, almost asll of his songs has an incredibly deep meaning to it, if most of them are very very sad. And i say 'almost' because if there are any other Gackt fans out there you know what I'm talking about, 'Vanilla' isn't an entirly deep song *shudders*
So either the man is over 400 years old ((which makes sense for all his knowledge if not makingf sense for anything else)), he's a freaking Genius or he is certifiably insane. Most of my firends thinks its the last....i think its a mix of Genius and insanity.
Did I mention that no one seems to know whether or not he is gay/straight/ or both? In his autobiography he talks about women alot...an entire chapter for 'em but evidence has shown the odd relationships he has with some guys. Like saying he...wanted to kiss and hug Hyde from LArc~en~Ciel in an interview...thats weird. Or how about going up and licking (yes LICKING!)) his band members during concerts...thats weird. Also in order to be in his band you must participate in a fight against Gackt in his own little ring at home. And i hear he's a great fighter. He claims that when he gets into a fight he can't control his body and he'll kill without realizing it. Some stories show that to be pretty convincing. Gackt also claims that he has only lost one fight in his life, when he was in high school and says that 'i would like to fight him again one day.'
Hmn....what are your thoughts on Gackt? Is any of my information up above wrong? I don't think so but if it is please tell me. Take into fact I'm not trying to insult Gackt..heck he's practically my idol, i have four of his cd's and i listen to them constantly....he's so cool...but still....i wanna know what some other people think of him...
