Hi all,

I know that the English dubbing in Wasabi, starring Jean Reno & Ryoko Hirosue, has Jean Reno speaking English himself but I was curious whether the English dialogue of Ryoko Hirosue's character was dubbed by her or someone else?

Anybody have an answer to this question?

Thanks,

Tu triky

I just watched the dubbed version for the first time tonight and it didn't sound like Ryoko's voice to me... but I can't say for sure.

Yes I thought so too...that it wasn't her voice. It's just that I heard that Ryoko Hirosue really doesn't speak French but memorized her lines in French despite not speaking the language.

Yeah her French is better sounding than I expected, perhaps more so as I mentioned she does not speak French.

It does. I can safely say that even though I have studied French before, she sounded more fluent and convincing than I ever did.. hehe

No she doesn't....as this other post mentioned on another board:

I saw Wasabi too, Ryoko played well her part. With the fact she doesn't speak french or english. She said all her text phoneticly. It must be very hard to do so.
