I don't think PS2s can play anything other than DVDs, unless theres something very new I don't know about.

Only if the ps2 has a mod chip (allows you to play cd/dvd backups) that has the divx feature also. For xbox, if it's modded then you can run linux on it and you can download programs that can play divx files (cuz it's bascially a pc).

I think DivX player is able to play incomplete files, with version 3.11

You cannot watch an incomplete file which has been downloaded off Bittorrent. The file must be fully downloaded. Correct me If I'm wrong.

hmm.. since BT don't download sequentially ie you dont know where the missing bits are..
it would be quite ingenious of you if you can watch an incomplete file Google

Pemu : you're actually right Applaud

i tried watching incomplete files
minutes later..this annoying windows error msg appeared

maybe because some important bitz are missing..therefore the file is not playable

Keyword -you cannot- while you actually can. Eventhough few/some part will have something like white screen (depands how many % you got downloaded)

If a file is incomplete, it means its INCOMPLETE - some parts are missing, so you can not watch an ENTIRE file.
Is that so hard to comprehend? INCOMPLETE is NOT a synonym for ENTIRE or COMPLETE.

Of course you can watch incomplete divx file if enough info/data is available and the index fixed.
There is no need for any ingenuity to do that.
Of course in mpeg files you dont need to fix it.

Try doing some reading.
