this from the Top Secret website...
Top Secret Turns the V35 into a GTR
We couldn't wait...it's been 3 years since the last GT-R and it was time that the Skyline reclaimed it's place among cars. Top Secret has now decided to create a GT-R from the G35 to satisfy Nissan fans cravings for a new Monster Skyline.
The G35 platform was good enough for Smoky but apparently the displacement wasn't. Option was suprised to hear that the engine was coming from a very unsuspecting doner car...the Nissan Cima! A VK45 NA 4.5L V8 Engine was chosen as a good base to start with. The engine produces 280ps in stock form and the plans are to go to 800ps with forced induction and alot of Top Secret's specialty tuning.
Construction of this amazing vehicle requires alot of preparation and note-taking. Top Secret is famous for their amazing engine swaping and engineering skills. The high powered vehicle is intended to be created with a 4WD system to deliver the power effectively as well as the world's first wide body kit for the G35. This vehicle will also have a left hand drive sister project for Top Secret III for which details have yet to be released.
...this pic is from TAS, and yeah, the CG's aren't bad either! (still wish Fumika was there, tho')

Been a while since I last posted...here is what's been happening with my cars:
Oct 27th, sold my b16/Type R 4 door Integra.
Mid-Oct, bought a 98 Honda Passport 4WD for surfing/snowboarding trips...black.
Bought a new project Civic...94 EX coupe SOHC VTEC...but Im selling that now.
Still have my Integra GSR.
So now Im back up to 3 cars....selling my Civic and Integra...holla if ya want a car~! Haha.
Yeah, looked at the Peugot website... they don't sell in Canada or the USA. Don't think I noticed Mexico either. Why?
I don't know about Canada, but in the States there's little or no market... And there hasn't been a French automaker in the States for nearly a decade, I think... And aside from Ferrari, no Italian automaker.

It's interesting you say there's little or no market in the States for the GTi 180, when cars like the Civic obviously do well there, and they're basically the same platform - small fwd hatches. In this country, there's not a lot of them, but they are available, for around $35K only, and their resale value is really good too.
As for Alfa Romeo, they have tried for years to push into this market, and have failed miserably...probably becoz they're ugly? People do still base their decision on cars on aesthetics, which is why the Renault Megane is also a dog in terms of sales. Out of the choice of the GTi 180, the Alfa, and the Renault, it's not hard to see why the Pug sells better here, so it is surprising there's no market for it there.
