I have work today It should be an easy night, but I'll be bored as hell for the final hour. I am taking no crap tonight. I insist that all of my clients behave, follow instructions with no lip, and not fight with each other
And I have to replace the ID I lost because no one turned it in, meaning I have to go in early and take a picture And when I pick up my check today, it'll be missing 1 week's pay Thanks to the dinosaur time-in system where if you don't have the card you can't punch in, and if you forget to time out, you will not be paid at all until you fill out a ton of paperwork and crap.
This job seriously doesn't pay enough though I need a new job!!!! I'm broke all the time The job I interviewed for 2 days ago is further away than this one, but heh, it's more worth travelling to a better-paying full-time job

I missed a day of work on Tuesday for lame-@$$ jury duty. So I wasn't paid b/c at my job I'm only considered part-time
I tried to get my ID replaced at work last Friday, as I had arranged. I went in, no one was in the admin building. I waited a few, then just went into work. I found out the lady at the front desk had been taken away in an ambulance and that she had the flu really bad (she's elderly). So since then, I haven't made another arrangement for my ID. So mreh, still not being paid yet. I gotta get that payroll form signed and up there because it's on 2 weeks that I'm not being paid for yet
I'm wondering if I should try to get a flu shot I never got one before, and of course now there is a shortage. Oops. But if there are any, I get priority b/c of the type of work I do.

Yeah, you have to interact with all sorts of people, so if it's available, go for it.

If it's not cheap, I'm not getting one I have no insurance. I have some fillings coming up that I have to pay for, so.. It's like $111 a tooth just for regular silver. The flu shot would have to wait, hehehe.

KS315, if you need low cost dental work, try out your local Dental School. The students do the work and supervised by their professors, so the work is perfectly fine.

This wouldn't be the UCSF dental school for you, would it? BTW, how low is low cost?

For me, no. I'm employed and have insurance. Plus, I have a Flexible Spending Account set up as well, which deducts $2000 of pretax dollars for assorted medical expenses.

Yeah, got my wisdom teeth removed (all 4) this summer and will be getting a couple of crowns done in December. So I allocated the $$$ ahead of time to cover what insurance does not.

Since it's pre-tax dollars, it's not so bad.

Sure is. Depending on your tax bracket it can save you 40+% (including state and federal).

I'd be a litte more concerned about getting the flu over getting the dental work...

Hmm, for me that's not an option. Why? I'm afraid of the dentist. Yes, afraid. I've had a lot of pain from dental work. So when I find one I like, I stick to them like glue. I wish I could afford sleep dentistry though, that would be ideal.

Gyah! I had wisdom tooth surgery when I was 15, all 4 at once as well. I feel your pain. Well, maybe I feel it moreso because I hate tooth stuff. I'm such a wuss

Nah, not getting the fillings I need is more pain than the flu probably I've never had a flu shot yet, so I figure I can get by one more year since so many are getting it (or are trying to get it), LOL.
