Unfortunately, I haven't watched episode 35 yet... It's still sitting in the DVD recorder.
Regarding ep34... I'm quite glad NHK wrote that episode in because, after the past few eps where tons of hara kiti were being performed, my blood was pumping big time waiting for someone to whack Hijikata one (actually, he got belted in the jaw by Kondo Isami -- and a good one, too!!!! )
Anyway, back to ep34... To be quite honest, I personally didn't think Isami was messing around with Miyukidayu except for making sake visits. Maybe I'm a bit naive about it, but I didn't think there was any hanky-panky going on there (or at least NHK didn't show any smooching and such like they with with Terazawa). But in any case, I'm glad Tsune was understanding about it all.
And, I like the situation between Sakamoto Ryoma and Kondo Isami, especially the last line Ryoma said... "The next time we meet, we'll be enemies." Quite different from the earlier days of sumo wrestling each other.

I had the feeling nothing was going on between them too. I think he was sincere that he was watching over her because of her health condition. _________________

nothing's going on with Isami and Miyuki Dayuu??
hmm....dont forget, that NHK always labeled her as Kondou Isami no Koibito ^_^ on the Shinsengumi! books, on the previews.
i really like miyuki dayuu's twin! Okou! im glad, mitani koki created this character. She's fun! such the opposite with her sister. She's firm, stubborn, cheerful, genki, cute, childish....even have the guts to stick out her tongue to Isami! and unlike Miyuki Dayuu, who reluctant to interact with other Shinsen members. Okou have good relationships with them, they even count on them. Isami counts on her to take care Okita(who's lying ill) and also taking care their headquarter, Hijikata also trust Okita to her and thinks coz of her Okita looks genki, Saitou tells Okou secretly to save Okita from Itou's men^^
I loooove episode-34!! haha, i laughed my heads off, watching it!
such an opposite with the previous ep, ep33, where i cried alot....hiks, yamanami-san....
its good to have the hillarious fictious episode-34! just to remind the good days of Shinsengumi.....before they all die one by one......
i have to applaud eps where Yamanami and Toudou died....those were beautifully done.....i cried my eyes out^^ _________________
Does anyone know what next serie will replace Shinsengumi? This is shown on KTSF every Saturday where I live.
I read somewhere that Yoshitsune will replace Shinsengumi on Jan 9th, 2005. But I don't know whether it's in Japan, Hawaii, or in San Francisco(CA).
If someone know, please tell me. Sorry, if I'm off subject.
Yoshitsune will follow Shinsengumi! in all geographical areas.
January 9 is the release date in Japan. Traditionally, the NHK Kouhaku is used to introduce the up-coming taiga drama (December 31), then about a week later the series start airing in Japan.
Usually, NHK taiga dramas start in California about two months later (March, translated by TV Japan). Hawaii, about three months later (April, translated by KIKU-TV {no longer by JNP}).
watched today's episode, what an ending for shinsengumi..
is yoshitsune the one with takizawa? the commercial was shown after shinsengumi just now
Yes. It will start next year on January 9, 2005. I cannot wait to see it. hehe..
I was so touched with the ending of Shinsengumi, I believe Katori Shingo has portrayed him well though at the beginning he was not giving his best performance but in the half way, his acting has improved so well. It was a tragic historical drama.

I wonder what they will play after Shinsengumi but before Yoshitsune?... I bet KTSF will just play more old movies. _________________

1 Episode left in my area. I love this series but it seems to have a very strange pace. The big events are the events they seem to gloss over. It's really weird. It has been building to this point and now it's rush rush rush. _________________

Interestingly, that's what happened in Musashi, neh? After dealing with Yagyu Munenori, they pretty much jumped to his living in a cave and writing Go Rin No Sho...

It does have a strange pace (I watched the last ep. last week). Pretty like "Musashi" end.

Ooh. Very nice. Mind if I post them over at creidesca's California dorama forum? I know some of the members there would love to see your collection. (Or feel free to join and post yourself.) _________________
