She was pretty good in Stand Up. And she looks great in the photos, actually even better than on screen.

JUst downloaded her movie Hana and Alice, very nice movie. Hope to see more of her in the future !

to think that she's 17 makes me feel uneasy...like everytime I see younger girls having such a big success. I'm 19 and succeeded in nothing so far...wonder if my time will ever come ^^;

i've often felt that way too, milkyway.. i'm the same age as her and sometimes i get really envious that she gets so many great chances.. but just by supporting her i feel like i'm doing something as well.. ^^;;

I don't know that much about An's past, so I wonder if she was one of those Japanese actresses that are already in showbiz since they could walk.
I once saw a documentation about pushed actors & singers and I think it must be really hard for them going through the teenage-phase while they are always watched by thousands of people. Scary.

yah, like adachi yumi and enari kazuki.. the two famous child actors in their twenties now.. ^^;; for anne-chan, hmm.. the drama where she looked the youngest in was akimahende!, and that was in 1998.. so she was about eleven.. her database showed she cameoed in kindaichi 2 in 1996, but i don't remember where she was in that drama.. ^^;;

in akimahende! she had ex-johnny's jr. miyagi shunta as her boyfriend.. lucky!

Actually, she broke out in Aoi Tori (Bluebird), which was in 1997. She looked all of 10.

In a documentary.. i found out that an-chan is on the top 10 most popular actress list in japan.. i think she is ranked 5th!!! saw initial D the movie.. an-chan looks sooo pretty there!! must watch it!!

that's interesting to know. I think the list must be updated frequently,

hence boosting her rank due to release of Initial D

Did watch the initial D movie that she acted in. She did look cute in it found her look in that movie quite different from how she looked in the Ganbatte Ikkimasshoi drama. Would've been nice if they put in a couple more scenes with her in the Initial D movie

just discovered anne, from the series Gambatte Ikimasshoi, she is the main character, and from what i have seen so far, she is a great actress and young. What year did this come out? is it recent?
