Actually when VCRs first came out, they were near or over $1000... And the VHS tapes were $20 a pop...

I don't remember how much they were. I bought mine for $200. Now stores are giving them away it seems. Don't get me started about the cost of computers. I found some old ads in magazines while I was cleaning up. The first "portable" notebooks were around $3000-4000. (Note the quotations. They were still bricks)

Yup.
2 and 4 hour speeds, 1 day programmable, top-loading, no remote, no search function, and it weighed around 25-30 pounds...

Yeah, all/most of the controls were mechanical, piano-keys...

VCRs cost $70 USD????? Wow, that's pretty steep--because you can get DVD/VCRs for just a few more 10s! I could get a VCR for $20 USD easy. Or less, if it didn't look snazzy, I'm sure!!!

Wow, you're talking about a Kodak Brownie camera, right? That's probably a collector's item... $$$$$

You must be about 55-60 years old then. _________________
