Houston hung on to win that OT game against the nets. Yao and McGrady had sub-par games and Sura bailed them out with his 30 something points.
Kobe went down, saw that, it looked painful. The Lakers were still playing ok without him, Cleveland turnovers and bad shooting percentage helped the Lakers. Lebron is a human highlight film and he has major hops, did you see some of those dunks!!! Not sure whose going to win this one, it is up for grabs. Lakers season is doomed unless Kobe comes back, but the ankle sprain seems pretty bad.
Lakers won 98-94 against the Cav's. guess the others stepped up in kobe's absence, but I don't think it will do much good against better teams. Lakers are probably going to miss the playoffs if Kobe is out.
The Cav's didn't play all too well turning the ball over a lot and missing shots in the game. The highlight wasn't lakers win, it was probably either Lebron's monstrous jams in the first half, or kobe's ankle injury.
that's like the lakers, shorthanded losing their star player, Kobe. As much as i dislike the lakers and Kobe, it sucks seeing a player go down like that and be out. He makes it exciting even though i hate the lakers and want them to lose.
I always liked the Kings better anyways. I hope the kings whip the *$#@ out of the lakers the next time they play.
The Clips won against the Heat at Staples in double OT, YEAH!!!
Phoenix dropped another one this time against the pacers, Nash is injured, probably not as bad as Kobe's injury, only difference, Lakers still won without Kobe, whereas, Suns played poorly without Nash.
The Warriors drop yet another one, is that 8 straight losses, before that they had a five game winning streak, or something like that. Now they are losing like crazy. Even if J. Richardson came back, do you think they can turn this ship around and start winning? They need some major help, the warriors are sinking fast... or maybe they have already sunk
They need major re-structuring, why the $#%@ did they trade Areas, Hughes, and Jamison, those three really were good players.

Can they turn it around with J-rich? YES! Well that might be more of a desperation "yes" but from the numbers, the W's are averaging 20pts less than their average during the win streak. The missing piece... J-rich's 20 a game. They simply have played the same in his absence, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why they're losing

Well Arenas left because they simply didn't have any money to resign him. They had the 4.5 million exception and instead of being a loyal player and signing that 1 year 4.5mil and hoping the W's free up cap room, he decided to cash it big in DC.
As for Jamison, he had a huge contract on his head and it was obvious the W's weren't going anywhere with him and Murph and J-Rich were going to be due contracts soon so they had to ditch Jamison to pay Murphy and Richardson who they're deciding to build the future around.
And Hughes was a good player for half a season when he first arrived in what I call maybe the one and only ingenious trade that St. Jean made. Not only did St. Jean land a talented player in Hughes but he only have up an aging John Starks and the 4th pick in a draft where nearly everyone sucked. So when Hughes arrived he averaged 20 some points, pretty good but he was also the ONLY option on the team with Jamison out for the season. The next few years later we found out that he couldn't hit a jumper even if the nearest guy was 20 feet away from him. So he spent the next 2 years trying to figure out how to shoot a basketball and the W's were getting tired of him and picked up J-Rich to give him some pressure. Well not too long after they tried an experiment with Hughes at the 1 but he just didn't have the ball handling skills or court sense to play PG for 4 quarters and at the same time Arenas was emerging and the rest was history.
Although Hughes is talented, the W's simply didn't give him a chance after being benched. It's like they have good players but once they lose favor they're not even worth being a 6th man. See Marc Jackson and Danny Fortson.
To borrow a similar line from Phil Jackson about Shaq's free throw shooting... after watching the warriors lose for so long, I've come from a fan that gets mad when they lose to a fan that expects them to lose and when they win, it's a bonus for me Makes me want to bury Chris Cohen alive. I guess I should really move to Sacramento and study Maloof-ism or something

Amazing. They can beat the Heat and the Sonics (twice!) and te Lakers can't.
Yet the Lakers have a better overall record, albeit barely. Go figure.

So much for talk of breaking the 72-win barrier...

@eltinator: did you like the warriors back in the days of Run TMC?? I still think way back, when they traded good players, Billy Owens(whatever happen to him?), Sprewell(he wasn't happy anyways), and Webber. They let some good ones go. They just need to enter the draft and get lucky in the NBA lottery and pick up someone with major talent and a go to guy, like LeBron for the Cav's, someone with that kind of impact. This losing streak has got to end somehow?
@bmwracer - The depth and defense of the Suns, is not as strong as the Bulls were back when they had the 72-10 season. Now that Nash is out with injury, the suns will be hurtin'. I doubt Nash will be ready game time today, another possible loss for the Suns
Yeap, Suns without Nash are just a good to avg team, it seems. Heat have been losing some lately too. The Spurs dropped a close one and only managed 60 something in that loss, what's up with these good teams losing??

They have to lose once in a while.
Maybe they can't maintain their intensity throughout the season or the travel beats them down...
The Nash-less Suns drop their 4 straight, after being one of the hottest teams, looks like they are on a slide, until they get Nash back and start playing better. They lost today against the Pistons 94-80.
Looks like the Lakers without Kobe are still finding ways to win, whereas the Suns without Nash are looking quite bad.
