Watched Water Boys a little while ago and I have to admit, it was better than I thought. Parts of it were hokey and downright not believable. And what's up with the "mama-san" and his (her?) buddy? Didn't get that at all. But overall, not bad. I was pleased that Kankuro finally realized that Asako was his main gal. She really pulled for him all the way and had nothing but his interest at heart. That was nice.

I'm bringing up a completely old topic, I know.. but I just noticed something when watching the sries again. Have any of you guys also noticed the different endings?
I thought I was hallucinating at first as I was watching the ending of episode 10, I noticed that all the 32 swimmers (you know when they go by them at the pool) were all having serious faces, unlike where in the second episodes ending, most of them had goofy faces. After that, it got me curious to check out all the episodes endings one by one to verify it was was just a one time thing, or if there were more different versions. After all, viewing only 2 endings is not sufficient to make a point. ^^
Here's what i got: MOST ENDING ARE DIFFERENT! I had never realized before this point (and I hope I'm not bringing an issue already discussed before.. XD) I just thought it was something interesting to share for those who are curious. ^^

note that from episode 2 to 10 (the ones with the same type of credits) the begnning of them is the same, the real change is when you see the boys lined up. I'm giving some pointers as to why they are different.
Episode 1 ending - This episode has no ending credit like the others. Credits are shown on the screen with videos of the episode itself.
Episode 2 ending - First dude has his glasses up and sports a bright smile , along with pretty much all of them. One of them is yawning.. XD Tanaka has his glasses down, Shindo up, Norio down, Takahara up, Ishizuka down. They all have their hands on their hips.
Episode 3 ending - Same as the previous ending.
Episode 4 ending - Even brighter smile from the first guy who now has his glasse down, dude that was yawning is now smiling also. Tanaka's glasses are now up, Shindo down, Norio still down, Takahara down, Ishizuka also.. This time, they all have their arms crossed.
Episode 5 ending - Same as the previous ending. By then I had realized that the people who had glasses up were rotating between the 32. But I'm only naming the 5 main ones.. don't know all of the others names.
Episode 6 ending - First dude is sporting a serious face. all of them are looking to the left (their right) with their arms crossed. Tanaka's glasses are down, Shindo is facing backwards (w/ glasses down), Norio down, Takahara down, Ishizuka also down.
Episode 7 ending - Same as previous ending. Shindo facing backward cracks me up.
Episode 8 ending - Everyone is still looking Left (right), now sporting big smiles and with their hands on their hips. All of them have their glasses up this time. Proved my glasses theory partially wrong.. but they do change! XD
Episode 9 ending - First guy making a funny face, has his glasses down, Tanaka has his glasses down with his mouth open, next dude is giving a kiss, Shindo is surpised with his glasses down, Norio is making another fun face with his glasses down, Takahara down, Ishizukasucking in his cheeks with his glasses down. Hands position vary, on has then on his hips, the other crossed over his chest, the other on his hips, etc.. it goes like that 'til the last. Yawning dude is back! ^^
Episode 10 ending - Everyone has their hands on their hips with a stern face. All of their glasses are down this time.
Episode 11 ending - This ending is a whole different one on it's own. Showing caps from the series.

This has ot to be one of the funniest thing I've seen/analyzed in my life! XD There are 8 different endings if you count the first and last. I just thought it was an interesting fact, sorry if I bored anyone. If anyone is interested, I'll cut out the endings and paste them all together one after another so you can all see the differences. ^^

I thought it was out of ordinary to have the different endings.
I don't think I've seen it done before on doramas!
Is there a message behind it? Who knows!
I like the theme, when Shindoi starts walking and each of the other
4 boys join in. That was really effective.... Showed their friendship...

the torrent for the ost of waterboys 1 and 2 doesn't work anymore
i really loved this show , i especially enjoyed the acting.
the guy who played shindo(yamada), tatematsu(moriyama) and my favorite takahara (ishigaki) were so good .
I also like miyaji mao
the ending was very good, with a long performance. But i'm looking for 2 songs, during the last episode, when they came out the pool and began to dance for everybody and the song just after that were ishizuka began to dance in front of everyone. does anyone which song it is?
