I love the fact that I found this site. I have always been interested and perhaps a bit jealous of Japanese people. And this site almost allows me to feel like I can be part of something I'm not. Maybe that's cheating or wrong to say, but that's how I feel.
Every now and then I'll get this really big emotion that I have to have or be near something Japanese; whether it's the people, places or anything that reminds of being in San Francisco (which has a pretty descent size Japanese population).
I hope that I'm not hated nor "banned" from the site for the absurdity of my words, but then if if that's what happens, so be it. But I do love being here and being able to read and learn about the culture. I always learn something new everytime I log in.
Thanks for having this site; if not to quinch my thirst, then to offer information and knowledge of the Japanese (and other Asian) culture.
Also, if I have offended anyone, I'm deeply sorry and apologize. Just acknowledge the fact that I have always had a great love and interest in your culture - and always will.
(I guess that sometimes as humans, we tend to take an interst in something different from what we are.)

Hey everyone,
I'm not really a newbie here, but as I never post anything I guess I might as well be. I've been a jdrama fan for about seven years now, ever since I escaped boredom one fateful Saturday by watching KTSF (bay area Asian TV channel - shows subbed drama on Sat and raw on Sun).
Even though the shows I first caught were kinda dumb, Love and Peace and some show about people who help others escape from bankruptcy, I was hooked. Now seven years later I'm not only still watching, but I'm an editor with Japan-TV.
