can anyone tell me where can i download the first season of Gokusen..coz i only have until episode 6....plss....and also for gokusen 2 do u guys have the subtitle....ARIGATOU MINA SAN
I'm having problems in understanding what ep. 7 was all about... can anyone provide some sort of summary... even short? Thanks...
Well, there are other people on this board whose Japanese is much better than mine, but I'll give it a try.
Basically, Yankumi's trying to find jobs for some of her students for after graduation. She sets up an interview, but the night before they get in a fight which is witnessed by the very same people who will be interviewing them the next day. Needless to say, they don't get the job. The Vice-Principal, being his usual understanding self, visits the classroom to utter dire words about expulsion, but is held off by Yankumi's passionate defense - and her promise to find them work. Ryu and Hayato and the gang witness her running around town begging people to give her infamous students a job interview, and decide that since she's so dedicated to their well-being, they need to do something for her; so they promise not to get into any more fights before graduation day. Unfortunately, who should they run into but the very same kids they got in a fight with before. True to their word, though, they don't fight back. Yankumi arrives, sees them getting beaten, and tells off the other kids, but for once does not beat the crap out of the offending party. I guess the moral of this episode was that it sometimes takes more strength not to fight, or something to that effect. Anyway, she takes them out of there, they go off to their interview and everything's okay again in Kurogin High - until next week, that is.
Hope that helped - I'm usually good at getting the gist of Japanese but I lose a lot of the details, so if anyone out there has a better understanding, please feel free to correct me.

SARS fansubs is still subbing gokusen season 1, current release is up til episode 6. Episode 7 has been timed/typesetted and still in the editing process. Episodes 8-10 have also been timed. ALL episodes have been translated though. We will start Gokusen season 2 after we finish season 1.

I'm just downloading the episodes, as far as I know you can't watch Gokusen 2 in any cable TV channel in our country...
OT:
But Yoshitsune is on the NHK channel, if you're interested in that.

Thanks for the summary!! That helped a lot!
But another one... I didn't quite understand what the teachers were talking about in front of that miniature scale school at the first scene... and where Yankumi seems to be losing her teaching job (not sure), and as a result she was trying to find jobs at newspapers and magazines... and then at the end of the episode there's this old lady who complements her for giving her a bus seat the other day, and now it seems like Yankumi would be keeping her job after all... so what is with the school and the old lady?

The real name of the guy playing Odagiri Ryu is Kamenashi Kazuya. He's a member of the famous boyband, KAT-TUN, in which Akanishi Jin (Hayato in Gokusen 2) is also a singer.
The name of the song that Kazuya sings in Gokusen 2 is "Kizuna". If anyone watches Shounen Club, he performed it wonderfully.

Hmm..Hayato was upset at Ryu because before a big fight, Ryu went over to the other people and apologized. I guess to him that wasn't very .. umm.. manly? He called him a coward and was disappointed in him. But that was before he found out that Ryu did it for Teppei's sake. _________________

the gang of people was trying to get him to sell his shop so that they can commence to build a new building over it. but in the end, they failed because the residents around all oppose to it...

Actually, they said a special episode will be made since this turned out to
be a ratings-killer (biggest drama audience for NTV since around a decade).
