Well, there's so much variety when it comes to dim sum.

I could eat dim sum every day of the week and not get bored. Just fat. So I don't.

A lot of dim sum dishes in restaurants are pretty heavy on the calories. Yuummy calories.

must be several places in japan. i was in the kansai area, and i also went to a 'gyoza stadium' (in umeda?). great stuff. i bit pricey, but something you need to try at least once.

there are also 'ramen museums' and 'noodle city' places that have the same theme, just different food source.


AC: where's gomaichi? my friends and i are often looking for ramen places, and we end up going to various places (mostly sanoya's). never heard of gomaichi. one of my friends told me there's a good one in king's village in waiks, but hard to find parking in waiks.

On a happier note, as prmoised, I had my gyoza (a dozen) and rice for dinner.

What kind of rice? I can't find good rice in the US. I want my short grain sticky rice. Here it's mostly long grain non-sticky rice that tastes like cardboard.

I go up to that one place in SF chinatown once a year for dim sum....4got the name of that place, but it yummy

seriously it's hella good...a lot of my chinese friends thought so, too...and one of my chinese friends actually introduced me to that spot...aside from the noticeable freshness of the ingredients they have a wide variety of dim sum that you normally don't find at most dim sum restaurants...one shining example that stands out is the soft shell crab that's lightly fried with garlic....it's HELLA GRUB...i used to look forward to getting that ish every time i went there....lemme tell you...it's better than hong kong flower lounge in millbrae or palo alto...go there you won't be disappointed...but you might have to wait long.....

It's must be Thai food.....yummy! spicy! good for your health!

They've got a pretty mean teriyaki beef/chicken... The teriyaki sauce is a family recipe... Terrific.
