Congratulations on 500 pages (is that the most for any thread?). I dunno if it's already been mentioned here -- and just in time for these 500 pages, I suppose -- but, anybody see the feature article on Yonekura called Ryoko Yonekura: From 'Bewitched' to 'The Da Vinci Code' from yesterday (06/23/05) at the Japan Today website yet?

Yeah, I've just read that. Some people apparently went annoyed because of that Jesus Christ mention. Ok, for those who was raised under a Christian orienation, her line may seem silly. But we have to keep in mind that japanese aren't Christian, and for many japanese claiming a dead person as Jesus Christ the God might seem strange, just like their religious rituals may seem strange for some Christians.
If she was born and raised under a Christian orientation (as I did), I would think that what she said was silly, but, c'mon, she is japanese !!! And knowing japanese culture and religion well, I must say that what she said is perfectable acceptable.
Probably who wrote that comment don't know japanese culture so well or hate Yonekura anyway.
Ah, BTW, congrats for the 500th page, racer boy !!!!! w00t!
