heard they can run about $200 for a Panasonic region free dvd player at the japanese mkt's. I am sure you can also find them as low as $125. I am planning on eventually buying one. So i can watch some of my japanese dvds.

Just get the Philips DVP-642. It can be changed to become region-free with a few button presses. And it plays Divx files from the disc.
I'm not sure what options are available in other markets, but if you find one, you'll be able to play all the Region 2 (Japan) DVDs you want.

Hah.... What a sad thing... I wanted to buy "Last Quarter" DVD from YesAsia but it happened to be Code 2... I'm in region Code 3... Can't watch it.....

1. agree with Toranaga that saying things like "hot" about a woman is pretty weak, as in i as a woman would find it offensive. being judged so basely.
2. saying "you're just jealous because i'm half japanese" is utterly pathetic
3. however let's not have a flame war/argument on this thread. let's just talk about chiaki ok? but i agree that if you have nothing better to say than "she's hot" then.... that's a little lame...
i really like all these new pics! though that one with the screwdriver is a little scary...!

Well, I had a nice and relaxing weekend... with my Japanese gf... Too bad it's back to normal again *whines* I don't want to go to work today! Just wait till I go on vacation lol, 4 weeks without me I really need a vacation, a long, nice vacation...
Anyway...
1) From what I know that's actually her real hair, nothing faked, nothing artificially straightened. I absolutely love her hair. (And I still hate the makeup she had at the kill bill premiere in the US.)
2) uhmmm... being half Japanese means... jack, absolutely nothing. I know a few people over there who would treat you worse than any gaijin (even worse than Americans, and I've seen my share of anti-american sentiment there, I'm harmless compared to a certain father of a certain someone) and would consider you a bastard child. Jealous? ROFL! That's... well, not even an argument, that's just trying to insult (in an extremely weak way), pathetic. My counter could have been "What? Not even pure blood? Oh god..."
I think this guy is somewhere between 13 and 17 years of age. Boys at that age are annoying and usually just hormone-driven horny little buggers. A sad state, and sadly some don't leave this status and remain like that for even more years. Sometimes, when looking at how some males try to get a girl into bed (and that's usually the only goal, to "score", yuck)... I'm ashamed of being of the same gender... So pathetic... *shakes head* There's a song from a German band, the song's called "Men are pigs", so true, so true... *shakes head*

I still hope they'll add some more behind-the-scenes footage of Chiaki on the Azumi 2 DVD. It was already nice on the Aya Ueto in Azumi 2 DVD, but not nearly enough.
