Actually, he's closer to about 6'0 tall... and he's not that scrawny either.
How do I know this? Well, I worked as his bodyguard this past Sunday... He filmed a performance at the Tanakawa Prince Hotel... and I guess he was the "guest of honor" since he was the last to go on.
Anyhows, here's a post I made about the experience at another forum that I frequent:

Gackt arrived at 1045am and gave all of us Staff members a big man hug each. He speaks really REALLY good English, and he's friendly and funny... He also speaks good Korean, as well.

He was reading this huge Gundam comic the whole time... even when putting his make-up on (he looks pretty cool without the make-up.... more manly). He made some jokes in English about sex being a better type of exercise than weight training (you should've seen the motions he made)... and he smoked down a Virginia Slim after the rehearsal and before he headed home.
He performed a set of 3 songs (Peace, Anata ni Aitakute, and Love Letter)... and then he went back to his room, got fitted for his new PV outfit, and then practiced his new single... After that (and a lot of waiting), we all bid Gackt farewell and he gave us all big man hugs again... Although my attempt at a picture fell through, I can't wait to work for him again.
Gackt is also very flexible... he did a lot of stretching that involved spilts and high leg raises outside of the set when he was waiting to go on air... He's also pretty tall... he looks so short on TV because he slouches the whole time... when he stands up straight, he's a few inches taller than me (I'm 5'9) .... but when he slouches, he's shorter
I also got to meet "Ryu" today... the Korean singer that sang the theme song for "Winter Sonata"... he also understands English pretty well. I told my partner that he's a "Famous Korean singer" when he stopped by to visit Gackt, and Ryu was like "Oh... I'm not that famous"....
Pretty cool day...

I know that gackt need a lot of security, does he feel paranoid?? *g*
But he is good at asian combatant sport, isn't he??? I wonder...^^

i got his love letter cd like two weeks ago and its really good i really like this cd his music slower in this cd but im into his slow stuff so i love this cd and i also got his sixth day and seventh night final 2004 concert another good one his to hot i love him and did you know his birthday passed his 33!!!
you guys know that? every page i found with info about him is says like this: age: no one knows/ 464 years old or something...
he's never actually said it, but in his concert there was a tombstone that had the years 1973 - 2007, I guess people believe that that's the actual date, but I prefer 1540...making him 465 this year
