GUYS n Girls...

was just thinkin, why not have a FAVOURITE option in Jdorama also where we can choose our fav topics of discussion and maybe have a page listing only those topics if we wanna follow then only.

since each topic has a unique id, so maybe a dbase with each member being allocated like 10-15 fav topics would be feaseable i guess

and then once logged in we can have a link to take us to our fav topics page!

Comments (all) and ofcourse feasibility (genma) ????

Sounds like a good idea. Just curious, is this different from the "Watch this topic for replies" link at the bottom?

Okay, I did it also. It just sends an email to you saying someone replied to the topic. I think I like your idea.

It is feasible. Only thing now to consider is... where to place it on the interface. We need a dynamic page that caters to visitors as well as for users with those configured lists.

For management of your fav topics, probably just a link on each topic to "add to fav topics" and then a link beside each topic in the list to remove it.

yeah well add/remove will be same as the 'watch the topic' function

placement-
1. simplest is a link on the home linking to the fav page, enabled when u log in

2. better - same link, which refreshes the page and can replace the existing area for latest posts by your favs

3. if possible to have 2 listings, the usual one of latest posts and another listing of your favs on the home page

The last option seems most feasible, coz we shouldn't remove what we already have as users still want to use it.

I'll think about it. Don't think will implement it that soon coz I'm real busy these days. Beaten

yeah I also think it it would be the best functionally also.
- people dont get a shock
- u can basically reuse the same code with some tweaks to the queries

please take your time, will look forward to it.

I got one: how about a feature that'll let us quote multiple people from the reply window. What I mean is to make it so that there's a quote function for each post in the topic review part of the reply page. It only occured to me when I recently replied to more than one person.

Or is there already a feature like this? If not, gomen. Sweat

Maybe since I don't have that many dramas in my list, I don't know what you are seeing. Within each year, are the dramas sorted in alphabetical order?

Perhaps a drop down list might be useful. If you want it in alphabetical order (the old way) you can select it. If you want it sorted by year, you will have that option too. What do you think?

initially as u know it was only in alphabetical order

now it is broken down by year of release

so is a bit more difficult ...as one does not remember the years or release mostly

i guess alphabetically is better

or maybe a choice .. as u mentioned.. choose .. alphabeticaly or year of release

Actually.. to the users, whats the purpose of the "My Dramas" page? My initial thought was that its to keep track of the dramas you've watched/bought. Chances are high that you won't go back to manage them again once you've added your ratings and comments to a drama. If needed, one would probably be editing the latest dramas (maybe still watching). Thats why I placed the latest dramas at the top.

Hmm.. when would you need to search for a particular title in that page?
