Talking about appearance... The first time I saw Arashi I thought:

Sho : "Handsome guy...look so kind"
Ohno : "special face"
Nino : "OMG this guy comes from the sixties!"
Jun : "weird face...hu...not my type at all"
Aiba : "I can't remember that guy's face...like it's just a... drafted(?) face"

How I see them now...

Sho : "His head is quiete triangular, but he's handsome!"

When I first saw Arashi...

I had no idea who is who. Only that I think they look funky with the vests in the MS performance of "a Day in Our Life" and the song seems out of tune, what with the rapping and singing going on together. But I still went to search for the song because it's different. I guess Ohno's voice really stuck out for me, just that I had no idea WHO sang what, with all the dancing and spinning around.

Now, I can tell the difference and it's these different personalities and abilities that make me like them not only as a group but also as individuals.

This first impressions of Arashi discussion is fun. Here's mine:

The boys I knew from dramas before I knew about the group:
Nino: At first I thought he was pretty plain, then a few episodes into Stand Up it hit me - "he's freakin' ADORABLE! Like a puppy."
Jun: He's not ugly, but...not my type

And after learning of the group, the others based on photos, and the Lucky Man PV:
Ohno: Poor guy...He does NOT photograph well.
Sho: Hot and mature looking...and so I assumed he was Leader. (was a bit shocked to find out it was Ohno)
Aiba: This guy always has the best hair! He's pretty...like a girl. Also, his speaking voice sounded funny to me the first time I heard it.

And now that I've known them for quite a while...
Nino: He's still cute to me, but more than that I love his personality and sense of humour. I think it's adorable how he loves video games. I do kinda wish he'd stop singing on MagoMago, but I appreciate his musical talents.
Jun: I'm not a fan of his looks (although he looks so much better after his haircut) but he really photographs well. There are some pics that make even me say 'Woah, this boy is BEAUTIFUL' I don't like his singing much and his butt shakin wiggle dancing makes me laugh. I'm mostly a fan of his acting. One thing I like about Jun is it's easy to see how much he values being in the group with the effort he puts into planning and coming up with new ideas.
Ohno: I no longer think he's ugly but sooo cute! That's how it goes - when you're won over by a guy's personality you can't help but find him good looking. His funnyness/weirdness is what won me over. 'Umai!' does it for me everytime. Love his smile. He's slowly moved up the ranks to become my favourite member.
Sho: He's still 'the hot one' to me. I like him best when he's MC-ing or just talking normally, not in performance mode. My impression of him is that he's a little unsure of himself, still trying to figure out who he is within the group. I love how he's [often off-camera] always laughing his butt off over the other boys' antics.
Aiba: I'm loving Aiba more and more these days. He's just so bouncy and genki with a sweet personality. I can't help but laugh when he laughs. I love watching him get beat up by animals on Shimura Zoo. He brings great energy to the group.

Yuna, You don't need that last 0.01%. That last bit is only part of a jpeg file which shows the perf in the concert. The movie file should have been completely DL. Try playing the movie file (i think it was .dat) and the concert should play with no problem.
And no, your sig is quite acceptable

For me u have to take good with the bad...I myself know Sho's not perfect (even commented on that) Every member hav their weaknesses which is one of the reason why we love them. I love Ohno blurrness and lolipop head, Aiba being baka, Jun's awkwardness, Nino's donald duck voice (and a cute donald duck behind when performing himitsu ), and Sho's calm demeanor = BORRING!!!.


Don't mind the the "bashing" but please don't go overboard...If you are bashing for the sake of fun (whichImyselfhavedone ) please use the emoticons or create the sentence TO BE FUN...

ok, first off my first impressions on the Arashi guys:

Jun - beautiful and expressive eyes, good acting skills
Nino - what a dork! (based on stand up!)
Aiba - too hyper
Sho - smart and boring
Ohno - silly

now, my impressions have changed all for the better once i started watching their variety shows and concerts.. i'll leave off commenting on that.

next - yuna your current siggy is fine, it was those huge images that is the cause of lagging and bandwidth chewing on websites. and it's not targeted at u, it was a general comment. i love seeing all the siggies and avatars that board members have, it's an expression of your interest, just make it smaller so that it does not hog the entire page. u're all a bunch of talented people and have god-given senses, use them wisely.

yamete-evie, i'll re-upload the srt files to clubbox, it might have expired when u're trying to d/l it. love your new siggy, anything with jun on it is a pleasure to watch.

as for Sho acting in Honey and Clover, i would like to see an improvement on his acting skills. i'll look forward to it next summer. hmm if we all go to their summer concert next year, we might even get to watch the movie when it's released then... just a thought
