fybabe, relax, if you read dobu's translation, nino was playing golf during the week day and not over the weekend.
although this was planned earlier, sometimes things happens and i'm pretty sure they have valid reasons for their non-appearance. we just don't know what it is.
and regardless of how far the rest of the guys fall from your love meter, Jun will always stay at the top, same goes with me!! and dobu reported that on sunday, Jun went surfing for the very first time!! hahaha i wonder how he fared, all pale trying to get a tan as well.
actually, what i wanted to say is that nino seems kind of 'free' to me. still no excuses for a once in a yr or yrsss thing.
and what in the world can be more important to them than their fans? coz if they really think about it, it's us that sort of keeps them 'alive' and 'feeds' them.
ok, maybe i do over-react. but i swear, if i really did enter in that lucky draw and won to see them, and no appearance, i might just give them up. it's not everyday that they have to arrange to meet fans. and i spend alot of effort getting my pc gig together to dl their stuff too.
anyway, i shouldn't get sidetracked...
back to my jun...
yes, get a tan!!!
he looks delicious brown. and hope he gets some muscles too.

i do agree that we the fans are the ones 'feeding' them when we support them by buying their cds and dvds, going to their concerts and watching their variety shows. and as for trying to d/l all their stuff, i guess we overseas fans do spend a lot of time and money to do so.
haha, yes, jun definitely needs to build some muscles and get a washboard ab. surfing should be good for him, all that sun, sea and exercise.

wahh a n over-night dialoge between fy-chan and arwenna!
I read about jun being the only one in taiwan at absolute-baka too.
Ma-chan and ohno are pretty busy with their stageplays, so they are excused, just like bga said, as for sho...when is he going to start filming? I just that it was in sepmteber, but not the exact date...and nino...*no comment*
I hope too that there will be a clip u/led of jun in taiwan, as ambitious as he is, he may talks a little in taiwanese hach *blush* NOT THAT I WOULD UNDERSTAND IT, BUT....
fy-chan I understand your wish for Jun to get more manly, Jun has already the 'begining' of musles on his arms! At the end of one of the waza-ari eps he wears a white shirt with his sleeves rolled up and you can see that he has some nice upper arms
SYILA78 you still need the translation? I'll send you a pm okay?

can you do me a big favour and pm me the absolute baka thing that you read? i can't get up there! thanks!
and i'm not expecting jun to turn manly or whatever. just don't like flabby guys... ya i noticed the signs of some muscles, but i think his most toned looking body was in tokyo tower... so mouth watering ne...
Read that Nino and Sho had work to do so they can't make it. It was a miscommunication between EMI and the boys' management. They don't really have much say over their schedule and I guess EMI should have checked more carefully with the management to ensure that at least half of the group could be there. (Aiba and Ohno are busy with their butai)
I just feel that perhaps you should think of who is managing their schedule or where they should appear before blaming them.
No offence anyone.
Anyway I still admire Jun for making to this live conference rather than cancelling the whole thing.

zee, of course i know about them being helpless about their reel life.
when i was angry or if i was making any comments on their wardrobe, make up, etc, it's basically commenting on them and the folks behind them on a whole.
but since it's their images that are being put on the table, i can only critisize them. we are their fans, not their parents or gfs, and everything that we know about them is obviously being seived through by their firm. from what they say to what they wear. i mean if they think nail polish is gonna hurt jun's image, do you think it will ever appear in the magazines? (i like his nail polish btw, it's growing on me) i believe they allow the boys a certain amount of freedom... but controlled freedom.
and they are stupid to think that arranging the boys away from this fan meeting deal is fine. no, it is not fine. coz they are hurting the guys directly. eg. if there is another promo deal in taiwan in future, i believe fans will be more wishy washy and thinking that it's not such a big deal coz they 'may not' appear anyways... thus directly affecting the cd sales. and besides, we all know promos are a way to sell more cds.
we can all swear our love to our guys and defend them, but if their cds are selling lesser, etc..., the firm will put less attention on the boys and they will slowly fade out. and will we still love our boys if they disappear from the media? and there will always be new bands to focus on. ok, this is just a hypothesis, don't panic here...
so those 4 guys should be smacked for not realizing the problem.
also, i think they aren't sensitive enough to the overseas fans. we are probably the least of their priorities which is kind of expected. but still, it's rude.
and luckily jun went, coz it will be a disaster if no one turned up. and they should arrange for a proper meeting on another day if they are sincere enough.

*ROFLMAO* what a funny comment...sorry, this is a serious matter I know, but I still...fy-chan so funny...sorry *straightening up in her chair*
I completely agree with you, the fans will think twice if they are going to attend another 'arashi is coming to town'-event!
I remember you posting in the Stormy-thread once that we should keep on buying 'one' cuz they were sacking down to no 13 in the rating list right?
This definitely didn't push the whole cd-selling thing...
Just curiose, does anyone of you have an overview on all the Johnny's groups out there, I DON'T cuz there are already way too many. I just hope that they will apologise properly on tv or something, otherwise the ppl in taiwan that probably waited for hours just to see the other 4 guys to appear will be very dissapointed (I'm one to talk, since I'm constantly dissapointed...they'll never come to austria, right? but that is my fault...acctually my partents, how dare they not live in japan! *g*)

-> like I mentioned: either go theer again or tv apology! Though i don't think that Jun is the only resposible one, sho is quite responsible and relyable too, how come he didn't show up
about the nailpolish-thing, as we have discussed this topic several times, Johnny seems to be very strict with his 'little stars'. Noone would ever let Jun run around with nailpolish if 'the firm', as you call it, wouldn't give their ok to it, but as we heard, Jun had the idea for the see-through-stage, so they have some freedom, but I'm sure that was just one of his ideas they accepted (he is just too brilliant right? ^^)

erm... actually i wasn't the one who posted about the 'buy cds coz sales are slacking'.
i did post about purchasing their original cds though. coz so many folks were dlding from the web. i thought sampling was ok, but i was urging folks to buy the album if they liked the 'sampling'.

oh sorry, my fault, Of course I never thought that you were PUSHING ppl to purchase the cds, i just remembered the thing about the selling rates...dunno what to write..poor guys or bad guys...*my mind is torn appart*...
maybe we should really go to the arashi forum since JUN is the last one I want to blame since he was the only stormy that appeared...

You lot make me laugh
Anyway, I think we should go back to the topic of Jun. I love the nailpolish. I think there was a pic in the 'Potato' mag where Jun only had nailpolish on one finger....that was a bit wierd.

i like to push people to purchase original cds for bands you like...its the main way to support the group. and it doesn't cost a ton of money (you can order the cds with free shippin thru yesasia, and frankly, while the cds aren't as cheap as buying cds at walmart, they don't cost too much. no one says they hafta buy them all at once time. but the effort is what really counts.
buying the original dvds and stuff isn't feasible for most people because region free dvd players aren't easily available tho there are methods to get around it. but bands mostly live and die by cd sales, not dvd sales....so i think its fair to at least spend the money on the cds.
and the more of us that buy cds that live in other countries, it might convince the guys to do some concerts outside of japan ^_^

Natchan! My feelings exacto!
coz it's the only way we can support our guys!
as i've said before, although we dl like crazy all their variety shows, we don't count in their tv ratings anyway... at the moment, we're kind of 'invisible'. also, don't we want our guys to 'survive' longer?
all ther tv shows, magazine shoots, etc.., etc..., is to promote their image to us fans so as to get great cd sales and ratings for a bigger purpose: to keep clients interested in getting them to endorse their products. this is the big money for JE actually.
so our support for them is 'directly' or 'indirectly' affecting their popularity in a way, coz JE controls to promote, of course, the most popular folks, from the fans reactions, to the client reactions. It's really a vicious cycle...

well, for those of us that enjoyed some parts of mintere (more than just Jun) but even for you guys that would just watch it for Jun, it looks like they aren't stopping it completely...because their website lists the guests for the 9/7 episode...Orange Range...
so at least there is something else to look forward to tomorrow night
