This is pretty far OT so I'm making it smaller. Skip over if you wanna stay Arashi-centric ^_^: Actually, I disagree that society shouldn't look harshly on some words, and I don't think negative views on certain words is just a holdover from more puritanical times. The meanings and connotations of these words are still the same. Fuck is still slang for sex, shit is still slang for excrement. That's why some people get offended by them.
It's good to have options. The polite way to say something, the familiar way to say something, the rude way, the offensive way, the childish way, the brainy way, blah blah blah. The words people choose to use, socially acceptible or not, show a lot about them, who they identify with, their backgrounds and how they regard the people around them.
So what's my point..um..if you have a polite way of saying things, you need an offensive way. A way that'll tick people off, make them uncomfortable or downright offend them. And for that you need the 'forbidden' attitude toward some words. It adds a lot of power to the language. K, I'll shut up now. ^_^

And now the real reason I started writing this post - to share some old Jr clips of our boys! [As far as I know] These are from the old Johnnys Jr program Music Jump.
Kamisen Performance A performance by Kamisen with appearances by Ohno and Sho (the other Arashi guys may have been in there somewhere too but I didn't see them)
Tsubasa on Trial 16 year old Jun shows up in this one.

i didnt mean the word shit is degrading towards women, but the phrase "do that shit" because a lot of rappers over here use that phrase to refer to women and "sexing" them up. but not all the time. that's why i said sometimes it can be degrading. Sweat

nepooh back to arashi: arigatou for the clips! the one with jun chan is so kawaii. Mr Green

Jessicasoon + kikikiwi we can buy the 24hours tv-shirts? NANI~? want one tooooooooo!

touch-thingy I was confused at first since I thought that Asians in general (please I'm not prejudicing! Just what I read ok? ^^ feel free to correct me) don't hug or hold hands in public much only if they are very very close, but Arashi has been together for so many years, so their touching didn't shock me that much...I see it as some kind of GREAT fanservice Naughty THNKX Satoshi-kun and Jun for the nice dreams you gave me! Click on the 'In addition to this' category listed on the left, and then I suggest you turn on the image preview option by clicking on 'A title and Picture' link so you can figure out what the listings are more easily. I don't know how you could search for it, so I guess just go through the listings till you see one (if there is one on there right now...) ^_^

hi everyone!!

i don't know if anyone commented on this but about Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru, (something about it was posted a few days ago) i saw its CM and its not an Aiba drama..gomen.. i think jdorama got it wrong.. it's actually Sho's..

(uploading the CM... Sweat will try megaupload and ysi)

EDIT: here is the CM
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=01GYIMP5

thanks for all the uploads and subs and trans (even though i'm days behind.. ) Victory! Peace!

I have noticed this. I see this in manga and in jdramas where English curse words (especially the middle finger) are used very liberally. Dang, Sho gettin' all ghetto. Do that shit. hehe

so that's why in Can't take my eyes off you clip, Sho did the "middle finger" thingy Bonk it was right before Aiba,Jun,Nino,Ohno entered.. hehe my sister (who adores SHO so much) got upset because of it.. (she's only 12 rofl )

it doesn't make any sense if the song meant "do that poop" though Twisted

just gonna be quick here... sorry~

i don't really know every single thing that they said in the show... but if i could remember correctly, at the end of the talk, jun(i think it was him, i can't remember) seemed to be a bit embarassed and tried to assure everyone that the member's of Arashi are not 'hentai'. LOL

as for the 'te agero', i'm not a big fan of 'curse words' (prolly coz of my strict upbringing~mom would get so angry when i use any 'degrading words', even to myself. this includes saying 'stupid'...hmmm~ Sweat ). even tho i bought HIG album and saw the lyrics, i still think that sho said "Do that shake~ do that shake~ Hit it!".

heres my input on the 'closeness' of the boys. i have a knack for noticing irrelevant and little detail but whenever the boys have a moment for hugs or whaever, nino chan seems to be the most lovey dovey, almost girly hugs and if you watch closely he's always touching and poking the others.

im japanese but i was born in the uk so im very western and the guys over here or my friends are very 'manly' in the sense that they hug but its often quick and a wack on the back, and only really hug when its a big deal not just for the sake of it. my mates in japan are more ok with gay guys and they hug more often, but my mates here arent homophobic or anything but they are comfotable with anything that make them seem it.

also i always wondered about the level of affectioon thats shown, western culture always say i love you etc but japanese doesnt and its really strange i think ive only said it a couple of times in my life to my parents vice versa but i can say it my boyfriend and friends easy. wierd huh?!

anyway another shocker ( sorry for the long ass info) and im just probably realy late on the uptake but

SHO CHAN HAS A BELLY PIERCING!!!!!!!!

i couldnt believe it i was watching an old waza arashi and he had a piercing, which just proves the great difference. guys dont have belly ring or pierings here, not to my knowlegde anyway (correct me if im wrong) and those who do are often heckled.

i have to admit im not over my shock yet so i dont know whether i like it or not but one things for certain, his body really diverts all the attention :nut:

Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru is an Aiba drama. A full 10 episode series aired back in 2003 and Aiba played a jerky teacher in it. The CM you have would be for a Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru Special that aired in 2005, starring Sho-kun. That was just a one-time thing.

They're both about this school in Hokkaido (correct me if I'm wrong) that began accepting delinquent students that other schools wouldn't take but they're different stories.

You can download both at d-addicts.com. And I think there are some screencaps of Aiba as a teacher at Arashi Introspect at amnos.net.

I'm still in the process of downloading Aiba's version so I dunno how the series is yet. Although, I'm amazed he's playing the role of a high school teacher when he was barely 20 at the time of shooting. He was practically a high school student himself!

It's expired? Well, if you go on the Rinkya.com main page there's a category link on the left side to 'Talent Goods' and you should be able to navigate yer way to the Arashi category from there. (follow the lAO[v link on the first page that loads and after that the category listings are pretty obvious) 1000 yen's a pretty good price! Good luck!

Sho's bellybutton piercing was a bit shocking at first to me too! Seriously, I've never ever heard of a guy having his navel pierced. What possessed him to do that? It's such a sixteen-year-old-girly thing to do. Now that I'm used to the idea it's kinda hot...but Sho, if you're ever in the West, it'd be best to keep your shirt on* cause I think that's the sort of thing that'd make Western guys want to kick your ass.
(*unless of course you're in the West visiting me, in which case, do the opposite)

How come no one's commented on Saturday's MagoMago yet? I thought it was sooo cute. Lots of enjoyably fruity dance/cheer moves. Funny when Nino suddenly started beating up on the camera man. And poor Ohno having a hard time of it again - it was adorable when the Grannies chanted 'Fighto, fighto Sa-to-shi!' and he just walked away all embarassed and made that face at them. Not to mention his kawaii little solo dance. Ah, Oh-chan, how I love ya! In love

Wow, are you serious?! Sho has a BELLYBUTTON piercing?! ewwwwwwwwwwww, I mean...uhhhh, it's rather strange for a guy to have a belly button piercing...... *runs back towards Jun*....maybe Jun's nail polish thing wasn't so weird after all.

I was reading all those comments on the asian intimacy topic.....and I would just say it seems that asians to me at least don't voice their emotions like saying 'i love u' very much. But friends seem to be physically very close.....not in the sense of hugs but as in holding hands and stuff. And when I think about this topic, it just brings to mind my Chinese roommate and her friend who was visiting her and they were like sharing a comforter in bed with like almost nothing on and chatting....I guess that's how they get close. I find it very bizarre though..... But yeah, so I think that asians have different kinds of body contacts than westerners if that makes sense.

hmmm i like shos belly piercing ( aww and yamapi's too~~)
I think the reason why sho has done this is that in johnny's there are rules that you are not allowed to have visible piercings and tattoos~
so you can hide belly piercing better than other piercings, so perhaps belly ring is okay in johnnys

I think Sho wears the belly piercing well. Sho, have a nice body?

OT:
"Have a nice body?" <---------- if any of you have seen a Gackt cm for Takano Yuri beauty clinic where he's picking up the gal from the pool, she says this in the commercial. rofl

Am I the only one that thinks that guys with naval piercings is very normal? Sho looks extremely sexy with it. I wasn't shocked at all when I noticed the piercing in a picture. Is it supposed to be weird for a guy to have a naval piercing? It's not like he has some shiny jewel or dangly chain - it's a nice, simple stud.
