I hope Sekachu wins the International Emmy Awards for Best TV movie/mini series.
Right now, there's 5 series that reached the final round (sekachu included).
The nominations will take place on October 17 and the winners will be determined by November 2005.

i agree. i saw part of the movie already and its not as good...
its as expected anyway, since they have to fit the whole story in under 3 hours... the tv drama gave them a lot more flexibility having 11 hours to play with... _________________

I figured that it was because there really isn't anything around that rock, it'd make a boring backdrop for those scenes. Also, considering the sacred nature of the rock to the aboriginal people, the japanese who have a healthy respect for sacred places wouldn't haul the camera equipment and crew up to the top. imo.

I think yamada takayuki did the best acting in sekachuu. it was so sad i think the saddest scene was the last part, right at the very end, they show the scene where saku and aki were young and they meet each other by the sea. it made me really sad because that can't happen anymore, saku's all grown up and aki went away.....
