The horizontal lines on top of the page...
The continuation of the discussion from the colored pages in front is here!
The discussion by the three slowly goes deeper into the various demands placed on the theme song, and the various feelings felt by the original creator...
The words in big font size next to hyde...
No matter what, I wanted to write a hard song. I like BLAST too.
The other set of big font size words at the lower right corner...
The music and clothes were different from usual, and was unable to adjust to them. When singing, finally managed to inject NANA's feelings into it.
The discussion continues... (there were a couple of references to the movie which I wasn't sure how to translate properly
Yazawa: hyde-san has seen the movie right?
hyde: Seen it. Very interesting. Whenever the "famous" scenes appeared on the screen, I thought "Here it comes!" and clapped my hands! (laughs)
Yazawa: I understand. Because many scenes were faithfully reproduced from my manga. Mika and the other actors/actresses were very similar to the original manga characters.
hyde: I felt like entering that "707 room".
Mika: During filming, I was also very touched by that set up.
hyde: It was great. Also, said that my song was superb! (laughs) ( is probably some character in the movie)
Yazawa: You're right!
hyde: Because in the movie it was Lv who got all the recognition but in actual fact, it was my song! (laughs)
(again, Lv is a movie character)
Yazawa: How envious! To be praised by ! (laughs)
hyde: Although the song "GLAMOROUS SKY" was BLAST's song, right from the beginning in my mind was the thought of "not making it too HARD". (BLAST seems like the name (in short) of the band NANA was in - Black Stones)
Yazawa: Because it was a theme song, it had to feel right with the movie as a whole.
hyde: Yes. And it has to be a song that Hachi, who loves TRAPNEST, will like.
(Hachi is the other NANA in the movie. TRAPNEST is the band NANA's (Mika) ex-boyfriend is in)
Yazawa: That was definitely very important. Speaking of which, this is the first time hyde-san is writing a song for others?
hyde: Yes. I wasn't conscious of the fact that "this is a song for someone else"...I was all along treating it as my own. Also, I have been her (Mika) fan for a long time. I was feeling regrets for her - "Never sang a good song!" (laughs) (not sure of this translation)
Mika: Eh? Are you talking about me?
Yazawa: Who else but you here?
Mika: Ah...I am so sorry. Thank you very much!
hyde: (laughs) Because I knew that this song will be performed by Mika, that's why I changed myself to feel like a girl while writing the song. Mika's voice was very cute too.
Yazawa: (agrees)
hyde: In the last stages, I was very worried, so I discussed with Yazawa-sensei. Because even though this was the theme song, I wanted to preserve some HARD portions. I like BLAST too. Yazawa-sensei had the same opinions. What I feel is that BLAST is actually a very PUNK band. But because it was produced by Lv (meaning in the movie, G. Sky was produced by Lv), I felt that it should be a slightly softer tune.
Yazawa: But in actual fact, whose song was it? (laughs)
hyde: Not Lv's but mine. (laughs) I only looked at the original manga for the first time after accepting the job to compose the song. I became a fan immediately. Hachi was very cute! (blushes)
Yazawa: Which part of Hachi did you like?
hyde: She was like a little puppy.

That was cute. In addition, the line that I liked was Kq's "Was it on purpose?". (see the comic pic in the magazine, the caption says "Kq has managed to capture even hyde-san's heart tightly")
Mika + Yazawa: Oh oh oh (laughs)
hyde: That line from Kq was a famous one. So natural yet calculated at the same time. (laughs)
Mika: A guy's instinct / desire to protect gets called up?
hyde: Yes. My heart was taken in a very short time. (laughs) The characters that Yazawa-sensei create, male or female, all feel very real. Is it because of continued observation of people around you? Am I also being observed? (laughs)
Yazawa: Yes. (laughs) I am not a writer that just tells a story, but one that tells story of people. Right from the beginning, I focus on creating a character. Then based on this character's feelings, he/she does certain things. In this way, the story is born. And what I do is to turn these things and stories into reading material.
hyde: Eh...
Yazawa: In the process of writing the manga, I will always immerse myself in each character and "lose myself". Right, Mika? Actors have these same feelings too right?
Mika: (My) experience as an actor is still little, so I haven't reached that stage. But I hope to reach it in future.
Yazawa: Is it like that? Then what about hyde-san? What did you feel like when acting as ADAM in Kagen no Tsuki?
hyde: If its about acting skills, please don't ask that topic. (laughs)
Mika: (laughs) But when singing, those feelings are injected into it, it is as if you have changed into another person. When acting as NANA, I had this feelings.
hyde: I know that feeling too.
Yazawa: Just like short stories. Every song has its own story.
hyde: Yes. Matching the view of the world every song tries to protray, the feelings will be naturally injected into it.
Yazawa: I am touched by the passion / desire of the both of you to bring out NANA's style in this song. I feel your love for the original work (the manga). As the author of the original work, I am very happy to have participated in the movie's production in such a manner.
hyde + Mika: (blushes)
Yazawa: Then let the two of you say some words to the readers.
hyde: Everyone, NANA is not just a manga. Everyone please purchase the XXX to read every month. (I think XXX is the monthly manga that NANA is being serialized in)
Yazawa: Why is hyde promoting XXX? (laughs)
hyde: No, its because I don't know what to say. (laughs) Em..this movie should let everyone have the same "heartbeating feelings" that I had, and clap their hands irresistably. Hope that everyone watches it with a happy feeling. Also, please listen to the theme song well. (laughs)
Mika: Can I also talk about XXX?
Yazawa: No, there is no need. (laughs)
Mika: Then...(laughs) Like the readers, we, who have been a part of the movie, are in love with NANA. We will be very happy if we see everyone in the cinemas. Please remember to watch it!
Yazawa: Thank you to the both of you for today!
hyde + Mika: Thank you!
