Last time I went to Denny's was in 2002. The service sucked, major.
That waitress took so long and never smiled. Not even once.

wonder what the Denny's are like in Japan, of course the service is probably ten times better, but curious to find out what the menu has on it, walked by one in Japan.

I ate at the one in Yokohama. Wished I swiped one of the menus, but then I would've felt bad. Not to mention this plastic thing sticking out of my shirt. hehe

From what I remember, they had Japanese dishes, like curry. In fact I stayed away from the burgers and ordered some rice dish.

Did you ever go to a McDonald's in Japan?

Holy moly, the service was GREAT. I was IMPRESSED. The girl was smiling and the service was quick and sincere. They were well dressed and groomed, and they were fast moving and VERY PROFESSIONAL. None of this leaning on the counters and chit chat with coworkers in front of customers.

Nothing like you'd find down here in the states.

cool, my friend actually took a pix of the sign of Denny's in Tokyo, cause he couldn't believe there was one in Japan.

I had a chance to eat at MOS burger, next time. We ate at Yoshinoya instead, and it was so much better than the one here, 400 yen for a beef bowl, and the food was so good. Thumbsup w00t!

yeah, i did actually. My friend and i need a short break from all the walking. We ate at one in Akihabara, had a teriyaki burger(good stuff), and a cheeseburger. there prices are a big higher, but the service, like you said, was great. not like here in the states. I love the service everywhere in Japan.

That is one thing that I miss about Japan.

At some fast food places, it's like "Excuse me for bothering whatever it is you are doing. I guess my food will wait." Shake Head

i try to explain it to others, what the service of Japan is like, Everywhere!, and well...it is something that can only be experienced when you are there. They totally go out of their way for you. Here you got out of your way for them, to serve you sometimes, what a joke!
Here it is not common to receive good service and it is a big surprise when we do get it, and in Japan, everywhere seems like that, good service is expected, while here it is a surprise.

I can't stand that.
I used to work for McDonald's when I was in high school. I thought of it as an opportunity (my first job and all) so I never fudged up my working image, even when I worked there.
It's just plain rude and unprofessional. Anyone with a brain and common sense should know that much. However I guess nowadays it's not like that.

Isn't it so good there?
They know how to work. Even at places like McDonald's, hey I know it's not the best job, but if you choose to do it, at least take pride in what you do.
Not taking pride in what you chose to do is like not having pride in yourself.

oh my effing god... I dunno about you but this tops all the lists of pissing me off..

Ok So I'm on the highway coming from West Nyack, NY fromt that mall and some asshole while doing 80 mph on the highway he flicks a Cig out of the passenger window in front of me, So as I saw it coming to my car I swerved out of the way of the hot flaming Cig, my mom ask me why did I do that? she knows I really hate that.

If I did that to them they would be flaming red mad, nostrils all flaring and all.

That's what the astrays in the car is for. Those bastards should learn to utilize them.

I know how you feel. I hate it when people flick their cigs out of the car, especially on a highway when the butts are moving fast enough to hit the car behind.

damn people can't even keep their cig's in the right place, instead they gotta flick it out and liter, while driving 85 mph.
these drivers around here, can't drive, and speed to much.

Yep. If you're going to drive on a highway, don't speed and don't smoke. Flicking that butt out of your window will fly into the person behind you. And that's enough to piss someone off.
