Freefall - I'm in the same situation--wanting to learn Japanese but I have very little time. My solution is this great software program I bought several years ago, but which still works great on an XP computer:

Power Japanese

I'm really impressed with how effective this program is. I study about 30 minutes a day and I'm really starting to show a little progress.

There may be even better programs out there now, but this is one that I can strongly recommend!
